Round 1, Hockenheim

Time to talk about the first round.

Hankook tyres give semi-works drivers a unique chance to fight for a strong result. And -25 kg of ballast.

Paffett and Green, Eki, Rocky, Scheider should battle for a win.

Please have a look at the Timetable . Every DTM session should be transmitted live in German language (sometimes English too) via webstream at DTM Fan Radio
I hope it is similar to last year

The first training session finished. Rocky is the best, half a second ahead of Scheider and Eki. The best placed Mercedes driver is Vietoris. Is it going to be an Audifest?

New Merc headlights look like Skoda ones. The whole car is like Octavia now. Maybe it will be very popular in Czech Endurance Touring Car Champ?

Paffet bins it in Q1 on his first attempt and shovels in his Mercedes in the gravel trap at Sachskurve. Big mistake there

Paffett off at Sachscurve. Red flag. All 18 go to second part.
Listening to dtm.com radio (in German).

Ralf is fastest Merc now. Is his car lighter?
And live stream is at ARD, but it works only for Germans. That's not right I think.

I'm watching the ARD Das Erste HD coverage and it wipes the floor with anything previously shown on Motors TV, ESPN or Sky.

Spengler on pole followed by Ekström, Schumacher and Scheider.

Spengler is the first. Schummi - is 3rd. There was a mistake by Scheider - he could win it. Maybe he'll be too optimistic at start to overtake in the first corner.

I hope I'll manage to watch race tomorow.

Besides, they've changed blue flag regs. Now if a pilot had a pit-stop and returns to the track behind one that hasn't stopped yet, then he has to prove (how?) that he's faster and only then blue flags will be shown.

There's a rumour, that Paffett was so frustrated after an early out, that he sit into his old coloured Saltzgitter instead of Schumacher and drove 3nd and 4rd parts of qualifying to prepare for the race :-)

Maybe, "less then one second on the white line"? And his rival will get message on the strait: "Guy behind your car is faster than you".)

Maybe, Ralf was in the mess with Kora, so he wanted to stay inside car longer?)

I really hope Herr Aufrecht has left his mania to bring all that stupid stuff from "Queen of World Autosport" (QWA).

Ralf is fastest at warm-up. The best Audi - Tomczyk - is only 4th.
