Great photos!

I understand Gary Pearson won race 2 from the back of the grid in Jim Mullen '92 Spice GTP. Sounds like a cracking drive!

Thanks for the nice comments. I had forgotten that Chris already won at Paul Ricard, I will rectify the report and add the maxi speed. I hope you will do 2007 championship, how is the Nissan compare to the Spice or other GrC cars you drove ?

Yup, it was a great drive from Gary who had never even sat in the car before.

The Nissan is just brutal compared to a Spice. I've been lucky enough to drive many different Group-C cars including 962's Spices, Argos, March, Probe etc and of all of them the Nissan is my favourite. It's by far the most exciting and now I have the handling well sorted its also prodigiously fast.

For next year I am building up another NPT-90 of similar spec and I plan to do the whole Group-C series.

Hi all, haven't posted for ages so I thought i'd show something.

check

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOD04s6g8Po

for a "comparison" of the sounds of some of the group C cars at silverstone.

Have to say that my favourite was Mercer's Spice. The Nissan was certainly quiet but went bloody fast, where as the Mazda made lots of noise but was lets say "off the pace!" (Think Mercer, Law, Randall etc lapped it very quickly!)

Ah was that the "road car" sounding one? When I was watching i couldn't understand what the car was. Didn't look like a group c car so i was confused.

for some reason it looks like a radical (SR3/4/8) looking car with a roof on it!
What has the car competed in before because i've never heard of it?

Back to the Group C Series: I have just finished 2 videos of the races at Dijon this year. They are ready for download at http:\\www.racingvideosonline.at

Gary Pearson had a fantastic weekend. In the first race chasing the 962 of Richard Eyre until the door of the ADA give up. And of course his great drive in race 2 with Jim Mullens Spice.

Now we are closer to the start of the season is there any news on entries, and particularly new cars?

I've read a Rothmans 956 will debut at the Silverstone classic, is that correct?

How many Jaguars will be competing, there were a couple of XJR-11's in the early days of the series, along with an XJR-16, but I don't think all three have competed together for a while.

Any news on Nissans, Toyotas or Mazdas?

Autosport recently published a photo of a fair number of the cars following their media day at Silverstone. Unfortunately, I can't find the issue at the moment, but I seem to recall a good array of Nissans and Porsche 956/962s including a Momo liveried car. Apparently, none of the Jaguars turned up which was a disappointment. The April 19th issue of A/S also printed a small piece on the RLR 962 which Andy Purdie is going to enter on the series.

Chris Randall sometimes posts here. If he spots this, maybe he can update us.

Entries are looking good this year and I'm expecting the list to grow throughout the year.

From the jag camp Justin Law will be out there although havn't caught up with him for a while so not sure what cars will be run. Derek Hood is also planning on getting his XJR-11 out more regularly this year. Mark Sumpter has bought the very late Joest Porsche which won at spa last year and I'm expecting him to be very much a front runner. Henry Pearmon is running his R-90 Nissan which is simply stunning and Charlie Agg might bring his one out too. I'm running either my current NPT-90 or the newly rebuilt Momo car.

Too many other cars to remember off the top of my head!

The new website is up now for people who are interested - www.groupcracing.com.

Chris, many thanks for this. Please, please get the Momo car out; an absolute stunning livery! Do you know whether the AMR 1 will be out at all? I understand that it was out at Snetterton recently.
