Brooklands Centenary Festival 2007

I have just posted a link to photographs taken yesterday at Brooklands Centenary festival in the 'Motorsport, Art and Photography' section.
There were the best examples ever driving around this historic track so if you would like to share, please go to the section and follow the link.

Great photos, I just need a bit of help identifying some of the cars! (ie any that are not patently obvious!)

What was the event like ? I wanted to go but with 101 other things on my plate, LEMans on TV and the not cheap tickets we gave it a miss, was it worth it ?

Brooklands Centenary Festival

I would also like to identify some of the drivers and their cars. I think they may like to see some of the photos. I am trying to identify a contact e mail for the Society so that I can send a link. If anyone knows of a contact I would appreciate it.
The event was spoiled a bit by the inclement weather and and coupled with the high price of the tickets the weather probably stopped some people attending on the Saturday (which was the day I went). The attendance was a bit slow! However the drivers all seemed to be having a great time. It was a historic occasion for them being able to take their cars around the Brooklands track.
I enjoyed it more when I got me head around the fact that they were not there to race

Looking at the ticket prices & roughly converting them to equivalent values here, I'd say while they are expensive by historic racing spectator prices we pay (~double), by comparison with many other forms of entertainment (eg theatre, concerts) I wouldn't say its too much especially considering it is a pretty special event and unique opportunity.

Does anyone have a photo of the 1914 TT Humber that was supposed to be there? It looked like this apparently when it ran at Prescott in 2002.

Yes, you are right, it was a unique event and all event tickets are expensive.
