Where have all the classic stages gone?
Phil Mills is reported to have said that the WRC is been devalued by the loss of some classic stages (such as El Condor in Argentina), because of the central servicing regs.
Pure fantasy here, but if you could put together the ultimate rally what rally stages would you include. |

A stage for definate inclushion would have to be Moll's Gap in Killarney. There would be no more suitable stage to greet the drivers as a wake up call and would test the best in the buisness. One of the greatest stages available in Europe.

I think it would have to include at the very least
Col de Turini (Monte) Keilder Forest (GB) Whaanga Coast (New Zealand) El Condor (Argentina) Bunnings Plantation (Australia) Viladrau (Catalunya) Ouninpohja (Finland) Granberget (Sweden) + one of the Safari stages |

The Sarsfield stage on the Isle of Man was always on to tests the hearts. Ask Mark Lovell, he took the second cattle grid flat in top in a Sierra Cosworth in a rally challenge in 1989! One of the Grizedale stages shud also be in there. Up to Northern Ireland and Hamilton's Folly, the greatest of car breakers. The Fafa stage in Potugal and one of the old gravel stages in the mountains around San Remo. There's another few.
