Does the full Lausitzring course (both oval sections and infields) get used for any racing series, or just as a test track?

I think there was a WSB race there a couple of years ago, but I don't know which bits of the track it used.
I know the test oval bit was used for the film 'Driven' Last edited by pirenzo; 13 Mar 2005 at 17:40. |

No, they used a high-banked oval at a proving grounds in Quebec, at least that's what I heard on the DVD with the director's voice-over.
There is a combined layout of something like 7 miles that is intended for sportscar endurance events, but it has not hosted one as of yet, to my knowledge. |
