Another "what's that car"?

Lovely looking car, I'm thinking F3 or something similar?

I saw that one at the silverstone HSCC finals last year. I believe another superb Denty restoration?
Sure it never ran on slicks though in its day, or if it did, they were wider, especially the rears.
Back in the good old days when the same spaceframe chassis could be adapted for FF, F3, F.Atlantic & F2.

A very pretty car and I think in F3 trim with a Ford twin-cam and restricted inlet, where I believe it would have run on 8's and 10's in period. On the hills we regularly see the ex-Von Opel 59 which lives in The Midlands. Unhappily I do not have a pic of this car but if Steve reads this perhaps he can dig one from his bottomless files, and more to the point have the ability to post on the forum!

Down under there was another version, a 59 B , powered by a locally made engine, a waggot 2l 4v 4cyl ,owned & driven by local Leo Geoghegan ,in 1969, whoose family at the time were the local Lotus agents. This car & engine are currently being restored by the current owner, who ever that may be...

This was running in the HSCC Classic Formula 3 race at Donington on Sunday, and is listed in the programme (and on MST) as a Lotus 69 driven by Albert Clements.

Looks to be a Lotus 69 F3 car.

Possibly chassis number 71-69-5 F3.
The ex Harald Ertl car - the only Lotus supplied fitted with an Alfa engine (which was replaced in its 2nd year by a twin-cam).

The car that was restored and prepared by Mecauto in Belgium. We went to a lot of effort to tell the new owners what a nice car it was, answer all their questions etc so that they could go and buy the car directly from the owner.
