Title: Big news (M8GTE) from this morning!
·Full length is 75 mm longer than that of M6GT3. Sugo's pit does not fit for M8GTE at all.
·Wheel base is 30 mm longer than the M6GT3.
·The engine is a new design 3981cc V8 twin turbo.
·New wheel, Very very cool!
·Mirror, Cool!
·Block carbon on the rear diffuser, Very Cool!
·Tire size is same as Z4GT3. The front tire size is smaller than the M6.
·Sachs carbon clutch!
·I'd like to go to see Le Mans 24 Hours next year.

Title: M4GT4!
I wrote about M4GT4 a few times on my blog.
It is the first show off at official places.
This is the new category of FIA GT4 vehicles that will run all over the world from next year.
This is a new category to replace GT3 mainly in Europe because the recent GT3 is expensive and too high speed.
There are many normal parts in GT4 than GT3.
It is characterized by the long life cycle of each parts.
There are many 20 million yen or so in other manufacturers.
However, this M4 GT4's price is probably under 20 million yen.
It seems that participating vehicles will increase.
In Japan there is a class that can participate by GT4 in Super Taikyu series.
Although the engine is almost normal, braking and turning are unbelievably excellence as the body is lighter and high rigid.
This is the first machine I would like to run in Japan.

Is that the GTE car is much more longer than the GT3 car???

If the GTE car length is same as GT3 car. Then if BMW introduced the M8 GT3 in the future. Then that would be the problem for entering Sugo race in the future.

In my opinion, I think M8 GTE Full length is same as the Lexus LC500 GT500 machine

Read his post again He translated it for you, the M8 GTE is 75mm longer than the M6 GT3 with the wheelbase 30mm longer.

Super GT counts for a whopping 15 out of the requisite 40 points towards an FIA Super License now. Theoretically, a driver can win the GT500 and Super Formula titles and now get 35 out of 40 points in one go before heading to the European ladder.

Also, hi, I've had to take a bit of personal time away, but I'm back now. -_-

Good to see you back RJ

It's nice that the FIA is putting more importance on the series by giving it those points towards the Super Licence. Given the speed of the GT500s theoretically it's good practice if a driver is looking at an LMP ride

Some young drivers may be in Super Formula as well, and linked to Honda who are in F1.

I hoped this situation is same as Tetsuji Tamanaka in Team Mach to restructure the business and also restructure the racing organization structure like Team Mach.

Speaking about the new business , I hoped Studie company new business can be like one of the BMW dealer instead of only BMW tuning shop.

2018年シーズン限りでメルセデスベンツAMGが撤退することになり、シリーズの岐路に立たされているDTMドイツツーリングカー選手権。9月8〜10日に行われたニュルブルクリンク戦では、会場でBMWモータ ースポーツ代表のイェンス・マルカルトが、BMWのDTMに対する取り組みと将来について語ったが、ここでは興味深いコメントが語られている。

 メルセデスがDTM撤退を突如発表し、モータースポーツ界に衝撃的なニュースが走ってからは、さまざまな不穏な噂が交錯しているDTMのパドック。そんな渦中のさなか、ニュルブルクリンク戦のレースウイークに、 マルカルトの主催でごく限られた少数のメディアだけを招待しての、バーベキューパーティが開催された。

 このなかでマルカルトは、ラフながらも緊張感がある雰囲気のなか、今後のBMWモータースポーツの方針や質疑応答に関して真摯に対応を行った。このなかの一部は、BMWからメディア向けに配信されているが、その 他にも興味深いコメントが多数発せられている。

■DTMとスーパーGTの共通化へ前向きなコメント

「現在もDTMの主催者であるITRと、スーパーGTをプロモートするGTアソシエイションとで話し合いが続けられている『クラス1』レギュレーションだが、現在はまだ両国の独自のレギュレーションに沿って活動し ており、完全なレギュレーション統一化という部分では少し時間が掛かっているが、スーパーGTとの交流戦には非常に魅力を感じている」とマルカルトはスーパーGTとの規定統一化について、前向きなコメントを残した 。

 すでに2014年からモノコックの共通化は進み、BMWは最大の障壁とも言える2リッター4気筒ターボエンジンについても、すでに開発を進めていると公言した。マルカルトは、BMWモータースポーツとしての今後 の活動において、インターナショナルなプラットホームに身を置くことは非常に重要であると考えているとも述べている。

「今後はさらにGTAとの協議と詰め、関係を強化し、なるべく早い時期に完全なるレギュレーションの統一化へ努めたいと願っている。また、今後なるべく早い時期に細部に渡るレギュレーションまで詰めて いきたい」

「日独両国が歩み寄り、両国にとって実りのある、インターナショナル化したレース運営が行えることが重要であり、BMWとしてもクラス1は理想的なレースレギュレーションだと考えている。クラス1が実現し、フィー ルドが広がることによって世界中のファンにも興味深いレースになることは間違いないだろう」

「ITR代表のゲルハルト・ベルガーもクラス1には賛同しており、共通化に向けて精力的にプッシュしていることもあり、BMWの希望とITRの方針が一致して良い方向に向かっている」

「BMWは2012年にDTMへ20年ぶりにカムバックを果たし、わずか数年でこの素晴らしいシリーズからまた撤退することは考えてはいない。クラス1についてはGTAとともに、ITRが長年に渡って話し合いを重 ねてきており、これを実現するために双方が非常に努力をしている。両国にとってクラス1は今後のモータースポーツ活動の発展のために重要な位置を占めると確信している」

 またマルカルトは、細部のDTMとスーパーGTのレギュレーションの違いについて、「DTMはスプリントでスーパーGTはセミ耐久。スーパーGTはDTMにない給油やドライバー交代、タイヤメーカーがフリー、さ らにはエアロやDRSなど、さまざまな件も話し合いのテーマに上がり、双方で異なる部分も多々あるものの、たがいに譲歩しながらそれらを詰めていく」としている。

■マルカルトが“古巣”を訪問

 さらにこのバーベキューパーティのなかでマルカルトは、9月6日に、ケルンにあるトヨタ・モータースポーツGmbHを訪れたことを明かした。マルカルトはBMWモータースポーツの代表になる前は、トヨタF1チー ムのビジネス・デベロップメント・マネージャーとしてTMGに在籍していたこともあり、TMGは古巣と言える。

 ここでマルカルトは、レクサスブランドのDTMへの“勧誘”を行ったことを認めたTMGはロジスティクスや開発拠点の面で、DTMに参戦するには最良であること、またレクサスブランドのマーケティング戦 略においても魅力的なプラットフォームであることを強調しており、当日は「元同僚たちと良好な話し合いができた」と語った。

 DTMは2018年はさらにドイツ国外でのレース開催数を増やす可能性を探って、カレンダーの調整を行っているとの情報もある。今後残される2メーカーの動向、そして新規参入のゆくえ等々、今後のDTMの動向に はますます注目が集まりそうだ。

There's no indication that Toyota/Lexus will enter DTM, but if they align the rules with Super GT, TMG can serve as a base for them to run the car in DTM. I think that is the reason why the visit. Unless they want to use the TMG facilities for some reason

Does toyota gives brand new cars year by year to SGT teams?
won't be a so unrealistic scenario with SGT teams using new specs cars and DTM teams using previous spec cars.
Of course it will be required a big effort by TMG

Can you please translate this article as shown as above in bold words?
He's talking about the fact that the DTM cars (including the M4 DTM) are going to do a demo run at Motegi. Like the link in my post above, the Lexus LC 500 and Nissan GTR GT500's are going to do demo runs at the DTM season finale and the DTM cars will do their's at Super GT's finale at Motegi. He's just asking (probably rhetorically) who will run the M4 DTM and which team it will be that shows up.
