Didn't take the Penske car long to the lead - that was a great move by Timo. Ariel coverage has the "road race" course more of a modified oval.

Re: Dario - I was thinking the same thing!!! I didn't see Ashley in her infamous hat.

It didn't take long for the ALMS boys to get to the front of both classes.

Just a question, have you ever watched the Rolex 24 before?

hmm, Penske is scored as 0 laps completed on the live timing on the GA website, must be having transmitter problems

must have had a glitch - is it back working? I've been watching , now on Speed and not on live timing. Timo is now back in the lead after an early and first DP pit stop. Race is looking good in both groups for Porsche. The GT class is dwindling. Great interview on Speed now with Pat Long.

It is not as challenging as a Spa or Le Mans in terms of layout, but due to the short length and the sheer volume of traffic it is just as demanding.

anyone else hear about this?

Quote:
It seems Grand Am has its own “Mini Madoff,” as someone at the World Center called it yesterday. A “gentleman” driver (and car owner) gained the confidence of the paddock, and took millions in a Ponzi scheme, with the recently obligatory highly visible charity. After taking some big buck boat bozos, he got involved with racing to screw some rich racing rascals. JC is said to have been a particularly big loser. (No snickering, now.) A team owner wrote, “Holy cow…there are lawsuits, and all sorts of stories floating back and forth.” The alleged schemer says his “assets are frozen in a messy divorce.” Right.

Supposedly J.C.'s out $12 million...I hope Brian is smarter.

Well Le Mans only has 6 or so night racing hours due to being held in mid-summer. Daytona will have about 12.
