I like the look of the DTM cars, but SuperGT more so. I'm not sure if the new regs will make them more appealing visually, but hopefully they will. I wonder if they'll try to run it at the 'Ring? Who knows.

Fairly sure Theissen mentioned something about a possibility of the car testing in one the VLN events later in the year.

It's also possible I just imagined this.

No you didnt something along the lines of that was mentioned when the BMW DTM effort was announced, not sure if it'll still happen though.

Well done to Manthey! Shame about Farnbacher's troubles but at least Audi didnt win.

I was amazed to see that there was a heavy turnout of Porsche top brass:
Wolfgang Porsche -Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Porsche AG
Matthias Müller - CEO of the Executive Board at Porsche AG
Wolfgang Hatz - Board Member for Research and Development at Porsche AG
Hartmut Kristen-Head of Porsche Motorsport (this one was expected)

Because DTM officials are too proud in regards to their series. They think that they are the top dog in touring cars, and that other series have to implement THEIR regulations, instead of DTM implementing other series regs. For example, they even tried (briefly) to make V8 Supercars implement DTM regulations, to which the Aussies simply said, "No thanks."

Audi Racer has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Can someone fill me in on the modifications made to the Hankook- Farnbacher F458 to let it race in the SP8 or SP7 class that it ran in.

Still probably the best most traffic on board of the 24 hours of Nurburgring, and may be my favorite on board ever.

It's Timo Bernhard chasing who I think is Uwe Alzen.

Was there a change to the track layout? thi doesnt look like the 24hour track layout. You can tell based on the first turn.

It looked like Turn one of the GP circuit and I thought they ran the combined GP and Nordschliefe to spread out the cars. And yet it still makes the ALMS/LM competitors complaints about traffic seem weak at best.

One of the various layouts.
In this case Haug-Hook, shortcut and Veedol-S

Uwe Alzen might be right as the video is from 2009 and I think he was one of the "Turbinchen" (Porsche Bi-Turbo) drivers back then.

The car has H+R signage on the side of the car so very well could be Alzen, whoever it is its great footage.

Currently yes but if teams and manufacturers from outside Germany join that could change.

- V8 Supercars is a good example of the fact you don't need high tech cars.

This is indeed a problem. But V8 Supercars officials are no different.
