When Eddie was young- Ouch!

Here is an old pic I found in one of my reference scrap books. Shows a youthful Eddie Jordan doing what young up and coming hopefuls do sometimes! It is into the Mallory hairpin in 1975 or maybe'76 in FF1600, taken from Motoring News.

There always have been some spectacular 'offs' at Mallory -
how about this unfortunate Lotus 7 driver in the old Mallory castrol chicane in the late 60s? Fortunately he was uninjured. It was a pretty dangerous section of the track - virtually single file through the armco lined link to make the Mallory mile.

Wow that second one shows just how exposed the drivers used to be, how he was uninjured defys belief! Especially with his arms flailing around like that!

Seems our Eddie was very good at that sort of accident - I recall seeing an almost identical view of his FF on the exit of the Shell Hairpin at Oulton
