Intersport bought a lemon
Do race cars come with warranties? Because John Field should get a replacement, he's had so many damn problems with that Lola!
Stupid Lucas Electrics. |

IMO I think that Intersport did not buy a lemon as we all know the MG is one very impressive bit of kit and once they have sorted it out watch them go, and with the back up from KnightHawk and Dyson get there MG's working then those cars will be challaging the Audi's.

Nope, race cars don't come with warranties.
Besides, there was a CMS engineer there to help them. And the Audi guys came over to try and figure it out to, seriously. |

Intersport has been quite unlucky, that's all. There is a lot to come out of the car.
I was in Elkhart Lake (wait some days for pictures to be posted) and the car was running very smoothly, and it was particularly impressive at mid and low-speed turns. Undoubtedly it is a good chassis - very consistent at Turns 6 and 7, for example, where it was the third fastest car. Note also that the car qualified 5th overall. The best statement about the Intersport Lola was made by an open-eyed Stefan Johansson, who I witnessed saying "this MG is f***ing fast!" when he jumped out of the Champion Audi during qualifying. |

Hello, Mickj,
Unfortunately I will not make the Historics meeting in Road America due to personal commitments (read as: my girlfriend is going to give the boot if I continue to spend more time at race tracks than with her). I hope someone else can cover the event for Ten Tenths, as the entry list is magnificent. By the way, last weekend's program included a quite interesting SCCA Historic GTP race - wait for pictures to be posted in the Historic Forum. Cheers, |

All the MG's have had problems, just ask the works team.
Persionally, I feel both Intersport and KnightHawk will sort out the problems with the car and they will rule the class. I had a look at the current 675 standings and Intersport and KnightHawk are tied at the top. Jon Field leads drivers standings. |
