Carlton doesn't like it when there's close racing - like here with Bruni - he prefers a strung out procession so he doesn't have to pay attention.

They need to move the race start times forward a few minutes. There was a good 10 minutes prior to the initial formation lap that could have been better used at the end of the race to maybe even get the podium. I think Eurosport need to send someone to parc ferme each race to interview at the very least the winner as he gets out of the car, otherwise we're never ever going to hear comment from them unless ITV feel like interviewing someone at random and showing it a week later.

Eurosport have a real good feel for commentators don't they? No matter which sport you watch, they haven't employed a single really top commentator.

GP2 have shown so far they respond to issues - the TV commentating/coverage one needs addressing.

Carlton Kirby really needs to find an alternative line of work.

The commentator was awful, almost as bad as Garcia is at judging braking points!

Kovalainen was outstanding, and Carroll was, as usual, suffering ghastly luck... the fighting in the top 8 was a joy. All in all, it makes great tv!

Could've been a good starting position for Ryan tomorrow, no doubt would've been if it wasn't for the startline fiasco, would've been on thread earlier but for this

weird because i never saw him win in monaco. i did however see him benefit from retirement after retirement and the like....just like today!

kova is a good driver, one of the top 5 driver sin this championship but is by far the luckiest aswell.

ah well to win titles you need as much luck as skill. thats just what he has got.

well i wouldnt say so. because this is a team sport and arden screwed up. anyway if he wasnt stuck behind bruni for so long he would have took the race to heikki anyway.

I forgot the 'sarcastic' smilie.

He didn't get far off the grid in one race and lost a win in Monaco due to technical problems. Not even nearly the worst luck out of the drivers on the grid, but it's hard to say that he is continuosly benefitting from other drivers' retirements. Surely some have benefitted from his retirements.

Interesting race, shame about Carroll though. Good to see Bruni up near the front again though. I just hope Carroll gets some points in race 2...

im just saying that its hard to take that heikki has such a big points lead now when the last 2 races have saw him get very very lucky. im not doubting his ability as a driver, but its undeniable that in this race and the last race in monaco he has got very very lucky. sure he lost a couple of points because a botched pitstop in monaco but he got a fair bit back again thanks to a trafficless pole lap and lots of retirements. in this race, again kova has shown his skill but he wouldnt have won if 6 cars hand not stalled and further 4 or 5 not been eliminated from turn one. and he shouldnt even have been able to start the race as he put peoples lives at rick by ignoring waved yellows when other drivers slowed. he seen 'em, but ignored 'em and thought he would get away with it. others knew it would ruin their lap times but slowed up, because thats what waved yellows are for.

whatever. i like kovalainen. my second favorite driver in gp2....im just bitter at the fact saturday the 28th of may has been a disaster on all fronts. the ps2 broke, the sky plus failed to record something i dearly wanted recorded, adams weekend has been destroyed by waved yellows and some spanish idiot....the microwave oven also sounds dead. bad day.

at last some justice!

garcia has been banned from race 2 for being an idiot.

about time someone was banned. kova, rosberg and premat should have already been banned but atleast one person has got what was coming.
