BARC Offer Online Volunteering

Got my volunteering forms this morning from the BARC.
They say that from Mid-Jan we will be able to volunteer online via their website.

Got mine too.. twice!

You would think two names with one letter difference in surname, at same address, would be spotted!

Well, we were able to volunteer online for BARC last year on Julian's site - but I presume this is going to be different on the BARC site itself and may even be cleverly linked into the database so it'll make things easier!
Sadly, it won't make actually picking which events to do any easier!!

I'm very pleased to see that BARC are offering on-line volunteering as I haven't received any paperwork from them at all, despite having been a member for several years. Steve received his two days ago. Are they trying to tell me something?

Got my paperwork yesterday and again it says I have done 5 or fewer meetings for them.
This year I cba to inform them that I have actually done more.
I think online volunteering is the way to go - I use Julians website for a lot of stuff.

I think my paperwork from them might have gone to my old address, despite the address on my membership being the right one.

Got mine twice: one printed envelope with letter & one handwritten without, even though I've only ever done 1 BARC meeting in my short marshalling career.

Same thing happened to me.

Moved house in September & joined in November.

My membership details are in my new address but my forms were sent to my old address with me down as a non-member.

The letter from BARC always asks that you fill in ALL details, as previous stuff is not retained.
So, just how do they know who/where to send these letters?

you`ll probably find that your name and address is on a data base, but no personal information would be kept.
I assume......
Ps..for those doing NGRRC ( Bikes ) @ Pembrey on may 18/19,
look out as NGRRC website has got a different venue down for this date.
Check if your going to make sure

We are going to place batteries in unspeakable places (in your case anyway), switch you to the 'on' position, point you at the track and let you go...

Well if the batteries are going in unspeakable places, where are the light bulbs going or do we have to switch them round Uncle Fester style?
