Doh, back to the geography lessons for me it's just under a mile, not 1.5 miles.

Well Tilke does make drain covers that move so anything is possible

Maybe I should post "Tilke Fuji-Raceway" in the Parc-Ferme joke thread.

My impressions from Gt4:

You have the track yeah, cool it's fine, you can get the generall old feel of the track, sure he's butchered a few corners in the interests of saftey or what have you but she'll be right.

(Then you aproach the final complex where the long sweeping corner was...)

What in the blankety-blank bleepin' hell has happened here?

That final complex leading onto the front straight is a joke. A poor one at that.

If it IS the GT4 version, then I suggest F1 stays well clear. Compared to the 1980s version on the game it is bland, the corners have been tightened and slowed, and the last section is mickey-mouse like at Indy. Also, what is the point in such a long straight? We've seen at China that this doesn't mean overtaking.

Heard the same rumor about GFujy, but as far as I know there aren't enough hotels and facilities around the circuit.
Hard to organize a GP there, as it is hard for Mugello to host one for F1 because the roads and hotels are absolutely not enough for a F1 event.
Anyway Suzuka is untouchable and Fuji could be a second ("pacific") japanese GP.
