The D2 title chase is only a question for 2009 champ Knut Ove Børseth and Derek Tohill now. Current third Ole Kristian Nøttveit cannot become 2010 European champion anymore. (Only exception, in case of an exclusion of KOB and DT from the race at Sosnová, as an "exclusion" cannot be a result to drop.)

Yep, as we’ve got the first ever Russian European RX champion (Timur Timerzyanov from the Republic of Tatarstan in D1A) last Sunday it would be grant to get a first ever ERC winner from the Republic of Ireland too.

Yup, come on Derek! Spoken to him at each round we have been it, great bloke, really deserves it!
Oh and great to see some more entries in Division 2, not far off the 20 mark. Hopefully this will continue to increase as I love to watch RWD cars! |

One step closer to hilltop, Tohill claimed fastest time of the 1st heat in CZ while Børseth was only 12th.

It seems that Derek (now 16th) could have done the fastest time of the 2nd heat too, but got a 30 seconds penalty for not doing the Joker…
However, Børseth only 18th in 2nd runs. |

The title in Division 2 of the 2010 FIA European Rallycross Championship goes to Ireland as Derek Tohill (Ford Fiesta Mk7 RWD) just clinched the title at Sosnová in the Czech Republic! Congratz to Derek and the team!
