STEALTHY should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
That would be all 4

Unfortunately i don't have the source for this info, just reposting from another forum, so i have to assume its accurate and hasn't been edited (any more than the media mislead)

Quote:
Kelly revealed his team's trip to Mount Panorama is taking $1million out of his yearly budget. The Kellys have flown 45 staff to Bathurst from Melbourne for Australia's greatest race.

It has taken them two months to plan their Bathurst campaign.

"The staff would have to be the biggest expense,'' Kelly said. "To have a team with four cars you need 45 people. And you need the best guys in the business and it doesn't come cheap."

"We have a great bunch of guys, but just to buy flights and get them to every event isn't cheap."

"We have rented eight houses for Bathurst as well as a hotel. And then we have to hire all the cars, too.'' And, of course, there are the V8s. Each Supercar costs $300,000 to buy - and you don't even get an engine.

"The engines are worth about $100,000 each,'' Kelly said. "And then you have all the wheels, the tyres, the gearboxes and panels.''

VESA revenue

Some think the VESA money is part of a team budget whereas I understood this money to be the basis of the value of a REC, i.e nothing to do with the racing.

Any informed opinion out there?

How many teams return acceptable profits, not Tasman it seems !

Teams get appearance money for racing. As the teams "own" V8supercars the funds generated is distributed in part back to the teams.

I like Fabian, I rooted for him as the underdog with WSR and I'll certainly buy some Bundy Reds and cheer him on, but did anybody check out the absolute sooks on his facebook page?

Is there a rule somewhere that people are not allowed to change make of cars they race?

What a joke. Poor Fabian puts out some news he's worked hard on and is very excited about, and fans who don't owe him **** crack the sads over it.

Seriously people.

I wish:

root
–verb (used without object)
1. to encourage a team or contestant by cheering or applauding enthusiastically.
2. to lend moral support: The whole group will be rooting for him.

Although I will state in my own defense he is a good looking man. I however am not, therefore I am too ugly to be gay so I have to sleep with women instead.

Your american dictionary does nothing for me when there is an Aussie flag next to my name (and, should be next to yours going by your location)

Root has one meaning here.

Maybe that was something they were going to do at a special launch with the Bundaberg Red car early next year

Where to for Tasman?

It wouldnt exactly be too good for current or prospective sponsors to read stuff like this.... you would have to presume they know what they are doing

Far as I am concerned he belted all and sundry on that weekend. All things considered he was simply the best.

Tander and Lowndes were also good all weekend, but Frosty was simply the best. Poor *******, how ironic to turn in such a dominant performance while so ill.

Great value being offered for a REC ...

However, Miles insists the likelihood of selling at least one licence is high.

“The chances of us keeping both are very small, to be blunt,” he said. “I think we would sell one just because of the value that is being offered. But we still have the opportunity of continuing as a one-car team next season if we did choose to sell that one.

As a seller does Mr Miles mean the price is too good to refuse?

Is it just spin?

What is the problem with having 29, or even 30 RECs? It wasn't that long ago that there were 32 and things seemed to work ok.

i say have 28 fulltime and offer 2 wildcard entries into each round, gives the younger guys and teams to get involved without having to commit to a full season or an enduro campaign.
