I have an Associated TC3 with a Protoform Vauxhall Vectra body run in the stock touring class at our local track.

I also race a Tamiya F1 car with the older Lotus 102B Ford body on it.

Sorry for posting loads of links, but www.modelsportuk.com have loads of info and prices for England.
Matty, you're after an M-troniks M-Power Cap that solders onto the speed controller. It retails for around £15. See the link.

Latest Info on the Egg Astra!!!

Well, I finished printing the stickers on the green and black (I know, it should be green and blue)Nitro Egg Sport Opel Astra made by Carson and I took the car to a local kit car show. After about an hour of running it in front of crowds of 80+ people, I decided to let the engine cool down.

Then somebody came over to me and started asking questions about how I painted it, how it works etc. Then he offered to buy the car from me! he said £100, I said £300, he said...I said (you get the idea) and eventually we came to £225. The car went there and then.

All I have to do now is order either an XRAY T1 or a HPI RS4 Pro 3!

You sold it! Nutter

Did the Kit car folk hire you or something? Was there a track there (is that a stupid question??)

I sold it to make a £50 profit, cos I only paid £175 almost ready to run.

A local club (in the next county) usually put on displays at the Kit car show every year, but they were unable to do so this year. My local club (which I am a VERY active member) stepped in and members who race on a Friday night came along to race. As the town's model shop knew I bought the car from them, it was a special treat from me to take the just finished Astra.
It was a treat because most racers, let alone spectators had never seen a Nitro car flat out, 4 wheel drifting (it was RWD).

The track was laid out using hose pipes, and taped down pieces of rope. It was not permanent (altough we are in the process of laying a tarmac track in our town) and was 'shiney' concrete, almost polished.
Very quick.

I got my Pro 3 through the post yesterday, complete with a shiney new BTCC Ford Mondeo shell. Any suggestions for a paint job?
Rapid Fit?
Custom design?

I've never seemed to manage to track any of them down Hobson, where do you get them?
I asked at my local model shop, but they said WH Smith, so I went there and couldn't see them.

I get mine from both my local model shop and WH Smiths, but if you can't get them ask your model shop to order some. That what I did and now he stocks it every month.

The Tamiya F1 chassis were named F103, not FF01. FF01 was a Tamiya front-wheel-drive chassis that handled quite well, with all the weight at the front wheels. It originally came as a Honda Civic, Vauxhall Cavalier (it was actually a Japanese Vectra, but it was the same as a Cavalier) or Nissan Primera. You can now get it as a Volvo 850 saloon, VW new Beetle and VW Golf.
