Asa should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
How much does an A1 car cost?

Can anyone make an educated estimate on how much an A1GP car costs to build?

I think an F3 car costs about 50,000 Euro or so to buy (minus engine), so is 100,000 Euro for an A1 car a good guess? What about engines, gearboxes and other parts?

http://www.a1gp.com/theCar/default.aspx

100,000 Euros for an engine maybe. The X-trac transmission is close to $100,000 alone.

Wild but close guess about the cost of a GT1 race car. $600,000 to $800,000 each

Eh... is that 500€, 500 000€ or a joke?

Dallara F302/04 costs about 40 000 without engine.

Hmmm, I am not asking about F3 cars. But I guess an A1GP car will be worth about 200,000 Euros complete with engine?

Haha, A1GP Team Hong Kong would be great wouldn't it? But no, I certainly am not, just out of curiousity.

In the first season they had two cars: an official an a spare, later A1GP organizers retired the spare and each team have had only one tub since then.

Think there may be a few up for sale soon seeing it looks like theyre changing over to Ferrari.......

Bet Lola are well peed off about it seeing theyve done all the hard work with the cars only to be dropped for another manufacturer!

Asa - theoretically could be done, Marchy Lee hasn't raced for China so maybe he's still eligable, and there is an expat HK driver in F. BMW...

Mitzi dude - have not seen you on here for a while, how have you been? Presume you'll be doing the same thing at Taupo again? Unfortunately it's a long trip so won't be there this time.
