Who's going to the Silverstone Historic Festival next week?
Some notable entries are the Sauber Mercedes C9, Aston Martin AMR1, factory Nissan RC90-CK and Ja aguar XJR-8 driven by Wallace, amongst the regulars. Also some very good drvers. http://www.groupcracing.com/attachme...Entry_List.pdf |

Hopefully it will be fixed by then...
Primagaz 962 would seem to have been T boned by the Sauber Merc, at Silverstone. Comments elsewhere are that "It won't polish out!", and that the 962 has holes where there used to be components! Sounds expensive to me. |

Minime reckons that may be the end of the Sauber's historic career?
If they can fix it, then the cost would make it too valuable to race... Assuming they have a supply of Sauber right front corner bits in the first place... I don't know, but would be sad to think that's it. |

I had a good look at the car after the crash. It didn't look like the tub was damaged although hard to see until they strip it right back. Uprights etc can all be fabricated and the rest of the damage seemed to be bodywork etc - I'm sure they have moulds etc. To me it looked repairable.
It is great to see these cars (and all old cars) race and driven hard. Not just driven around in a procession. Of course, there is always a risk they will be damaged. But to me these cars are so much more than static display pieces and should be raced. |

Absolutely Roger, but the problem with these structures is that the damage offten goes a lot further than it would if it were a metalic structure,I certainly hope this not to be the case.

It will be a great shame if the Sauber cannot be repaired and raced but you have to applaud the owner for giving us the chance to see it again back where it belongs - on track! |
