I wonder whether there is some trouble between Davison and Tekno or is the whole uncertainty only about sponsorship? This year has been difficult for them but last year they were going strong.
Other possibility for Davison would be LDM. After Bright's retirement, I'm sure Stanaway will be at PRA so there is a space for Davison in LDM. That'd be good for both sides.

Does Davison bring a budget? It would all rest on that.

Well we already know that Tekno will go around again as they have committed to the new ZB panels Story here

But for 2018 there are 4 seats available, PRA, LDM, KR, Tekno.

At least we know Richie will drive for PRA, but who for the other seats??

Le Broq for KR??

dont be overly reliant on the "commitment" to ZB panels. That "commitment" will come with get out clauses. Especially as the parts are not built and the price keeps going up

Plus Britek!

Britek - Hazelwood (MSR)?
PRA(ex-LDM) - Stanaway
LDM - Jacobsen?

KR - ??? (Le Brocq?)
Tekno - ???

Candidates -- Davison, Fullwood?, Brown?, Davies?

With de Pasquale and Golding(???) confirmed, it will sure be a bumper crop of rookies!

I can't really tell who is the best in Super2 -- they are so even -- so it's great they are almost *all* going to be able to make the step up!

Will certainly be in line for the most main game rookies at once that I can recall. Always good to regenerate any sport with young guys. Bring it on.

BTCC midfielder Andrew Jordan has Pirtek connections and expressed interested in Supercars racing previously?

No lower than 13th in the championship, in the 10 seasons he's contested of the BTCC.

1x outright champion.
3x Independants Cup champion.

Not sure Pirtek over there is all that closely tied to Pirtek here. Even still, over there, he's the Pirtek BTCC guy. Over here, he'd be nobody.

Ha, your definition of a midfield runner being someone who won the title and won races this season?

Anyway, he's fully contracted up until the end of 2018 in the BTCC.

Is that the same Andrew Jordan Red Bull driver who is described as 'One of the most consistently fast touring car drivers around'?

Won the winter series in his first season in Junior Rallycross.
Became BTRDA Junior Rallycross Champion the following year.
Who made history at Donington Park in 2009 becoming the youngest ever driver to score a BTCC pole position.
Won the Independents’ title in 2012.
Won the overall BTCC Drivers’ Championship in 2013.
In 2015 brought a fifth placed finish in the overall BTCC.
In 2016 won the Independents' championship for a third time.
Won on debut in the Pickup Truck Racing Championship.

If that is a midfielder, I wouldn't mind being a back-marker against that criteria!

I would see Will Davison in Nissan. Honestly, they need somebody proven in their car given that 2018 is last year in a current contract and Kellys have to prove that Supercars is still reasonable for Nissan.
I think that Nissan also needs somebody else in places of De Silvestro and Caruso.

In place of Caruso, are you serious? De Silvestro sure, but certainly not Caruso.
Now that Todd has finally stood down there could be a place for Will at Nissan, but not sure that the Kelly's want to pay what Will reportedly wants, which is probably why Techno are looking for a much lower cost replacement driver, maybe one that even brings a sponsor with him.

Pretty much on the money Mark, Tekno signed Will up for a small 400k pa salary and sadly Stephen Webb hasn't paid him this year.
