there are 6 TBA's listed. I can't see Mr Russell not getting a gig with either KR or JDR, same with Mr Waters. Owen K might get a call back, hasn't disgraced himself there when compared to the performance of the regular drivers.

More interesting will be Mr Ingall's copilot. Someone auditioning for the seat long term if Mr Courtney isn't cemented?

Can't see Barg's money getting him a gig at KR, maybe with LDR?

Good spot Axeman, missed Taz's

who would be auditioning for the 66 spot long term, had always assumed that driver was in Car 2?

I wonder if any wild car teams will turn up this year?

Pleased to see 10 Kiwis in there (including Steven Richards and Scott McLaughlin). And there's a few SuperTourer drivers who might be worth a gamble for a team, Booth, Heimgartner and Ant Pedersen.

Fairly confident I read earlier this year that Kelly Racing will be doing similar to 2011 with a Wild card entry piloted by Denyer and ???.
Perhaps Waters again.

They dont have a 5th chassis to do so.

FPR would likely have been better off loaning Mr Mostert to TDR/Team Hiflex for those events...

There are at least 3 Dunlop series teams taking a serious look at a wildcard.

With CotF due next year, this may be the final shot at an enduro slot for a while

Nathan Pretty is likely to pop up somewhere. I would suspect either in #66 or #30.

Waters, O.Kelly, Blanchard, and Russell would most likely end up in 7, 11, 15, and 51. In no particular order.

we currently have GT, JC and RI, with Percat in the wings and driving with GT.

My thinking is that Percat is the understudy for RI now as widely suspected, but if JC doesn't pull his finger out, Percat may find a seat in #22 come Jan 1 2014 if RI wants to continue and/or Supercheap wants him to continue next year, and they might need someone else for #66 in 2014.

Wise heads may be required for CoTF next year, so Percat may be held back another season

not sure Mr Pretty has done enough over the last few years to warrant a gig at the expense of some of the other availables

Meantime, one of the already announced driving pairings may be heading for a reshuffle. The Travelling Alburies have apparently been doing some driver change/driver ergonomics reviews in recent days and it appears a re-matching of physical dimensions is on.

It seems that Mr Jones is now a likely starter alongside the equally lanky Mr Coulthard, whilst the more um.. solid Mr Besnard is said to nOw be alongside the similar sized Mr Bright. Or so the story goes.

Presuming any of this actually happened

I'm no team manager, but aren't the physical dimensions of drivers important aspects of endurance driver pairings these days?

I can understand organising an A car and a B car from 2+ years ago, and putting your best drivers together regardless of stature eg. G.Tander/Bargs, L.Tander/Wall (Well ok, Wilson $$ may have decided that one).

From here, it looks as though Mr Jones is being put in the better car, although it has always been considered that the BOC-plastered mount is the team's flagship.

My tips for the remaining seats, no particular reason for any of them:

66 - J Bargwanna or S Price

7 - D Russell or M Marshall
15 - O Kelly
11 & 51 - D Russell, M Marshall, T Blanchard, D Gaunt, N Pretty or (C Waters depending on wildcard situation)

30 - S Pye, S Price or N Pretty

I would have thought it too early in the young driver's development. Maybe next year. There are many stories about who might end up in #30... wouldnt be impossible for LDM's Mr Lindbom to take the seat

I don't understand how Bargwanna wasn't one of the FIRST drivers to be snapped up by a TOP LEVEL team?

This is crazy! He was a fulltimer last year, he's on the pace at Bathurst, a former winner, what's the problem? Have I missed something here?

I can't believe BJR didn't even give him a look in. That's his ex-team?

Did he burn bridges? I'm hardly a Bargs fan but surely this is a massive oversight, can someone shed some light?

I mean Bargs at LDM? About as much of a waste as Alex Davison at DJR when in my opinion, a safe reliable driver like Alex should've been co-driving with Whincup as opposed to Dumbrell.

I would have put Bargs one of the top 5 or so picks having had 13 seasons in the category full time. A season out of the category did him no harm in 2008 when he was comfortably quicker than Tony D'Alberto in the RNR car.

Not many memorable results in recent years and a fair few scrapes, but that comes with driving an underfunded car. He is certainly would have been a better bet than some of the underwhelming announcements by teams which consider themselves contenders. Unless he has priced himself out of the market?

He probably would be a good fit at WP, co-driving #66 and if Percat moves to this car, could reunite with Tander in 2013.
