Very sad. Cricky was a damn good truck racer and an even better bloke. Gone far too young at 47 and leaves behind a wife and 3 kids.

Really saddened to read this

Crick was THE face of Truck Racing in Australia during its boom period in the 1990s, as a kid I got to go to the 1995 Trans-Tasman Truck racing meeting at Oran Park courtesy of Shell (and my dad), depsite the fact that Cricks Volvo was unable to run that day due to mechanical ills, and the fact he had then borrowed David Parsons' truck only to get involved in an incident in it, he still put on the smile when he did the rounds and the speeches in the Shell tent. You could see why he was the most popular figure in the series to go along with his success.

So young at only 47, RIP.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Very Sad, quite young and teenage kids. Not good at all

Can I just say (just got back from a fundraising event for Prostate Cancer, That if your over 40 go and get yourself a 40 plus check up with your Doctor. The toughest men in the world still get cancer.

PS Not suggesting this is how Rodney died (I have no idea), The two things combined make me think

I can tell you for a fact it was not prostatic cancer, although i do second your request for at least a PSA test or 'the finger' as my father has had it twice...now not good news.

As the media relations for the Supertrucks, we thank you guys for your support and condolences that you are conveying.

If anyone has any pics of Cricky, I'd love to see them.

Cheers

Give it some raspberry, Rodney. One imagines that resting in peace wouldn't be your style. Slide around wherever and whenever you can.

You became one of the most prominent figures in the truck racing scene in Australasia and you were one fantastic bloke.

The battle is often one of humility, rather than outright pace, but you had both.

6 titles is worthy of legend status. 6 wins at Bathurst would surely grant you that, but 6 titles in a truck is just awesome.

Farewell!
