Nothing is impossible but also nothing in the comments from Volvo or Volvo Australia seem to have left any room for this possibility.

Kind of makes a bit of sense considering the talk of Scott ending up at WP and his very recent trip to Sweden.

If they were looking to pull the pin like they have why would they get him over there? Something just doesn't add up.......

I don't really, if head office says jump, the local offiice says how high. Sometimes it is just business.

That part is a no brainer. The part I'm talking about is taking Scotty over there to do a race and all the promo BS that went with it.

If they were intending on pulling the rug out from under them why do all that still?

I guess all I'm saying is I think there has been a big backflip at some point catching quite a few unaware.

Maybe Volvo Oz was trying to convince the parent company it was still a good idea and they had the talent to keep racing at the front which is true enough in spite of already having been told the plug had been pulled. Let's go to Sweden and convince them in person style of thing.

I reckon that's exactly what happened. VCA are all for it, and are seeing the returns on their investment. However, Sweden thinks it's working against their image.

Kinda strange when plenty of brands over the years have crowed about invigorating their image with a dabble in motorsport, to keep the passion alive.

Yes, Sweden think that with their turbo charged unit in the WTCC and STCC showing they're environmentally sound and in touch with the greenies, having Garry and his band of merry men running around with a 5l V8, just doesn't cut it....

Neither is the V8, it a Yamaha designed unit....

Do they actually do anything, other than the V5 motor they created?? When owned by Ford, most of the parts I'm told came from the Ford parts bin....

Oh shoot!!! I think I've worked out the backflip, they've still got dead bodies from the Ford ownership days hanging around.... explains everything....

Yamaha designed unit that was used in Volvo road cars, the XC90 and S80.

Oh boy. What court do you even serve it in, who has juristiction?

Unless there is a binding contract for 2017 I can't see this going anywhere...
