For Matech,

Which of the ACO (LM series), SRO (FIA GT), or other GT class series are you officially planning to run in next year? Also, will you keep us posted about the customers that have ordered and/or run the Ford GTs as they make announcements or new updates regarding the cars you built?

Thanks in advance.

As I said earlier, at this time we are reviewing our plans and budgets and we are also waiting to see the racing calendar for next year before we commit our plans. Naturally, when a deal is signed between Matech and a customer, and both parties wish to publicise it, it will of course be announced.
Thanks :-)

I don't know French, but is it implying that Atlas EFX (current LMS GT1 team) is going for the car? At this point, Larbre may also be a given.

Google translation:

There will be time to move to 2011. EFX and Atlas is well on the issue. "We race in GT-Endurance" said team boss. "We have an agreement in principle with a brand that we can not reveal the name. We want to put two cars in Le Mans Intercontinental Cup. Our aim is obviously to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which are part of the cup. We do not rule out making a few other races in Le Mans Series. "

So what is this mark is likely to provide Atlas eFX? This will most likely a builder who is not yet present in GT2

It would be fantastic to see a great team like Larbre running these cars, seeing as though that Saleen is going to be obsolete next year.

Hmm, 1+X does not always =2
X being the variable of an as yet unmentioned future mfg entry into GT-2.
But it could.

That's Matech-Ford or Panoz. Higher odds for Matech I'd say...

^ I really do not see anyone besides PTG or 1-2 other ALMS teams running the Abruzzi.

Good to see a team rep coming on here to clarify questions and providing insight.

I hope the Ford GT does well in GT2. They'll be entering something that already resembles a dog fight. The Ford GT is an icon you always like to see fighting with the Ferraris, Porsches, Vettes, Astons. I loved seeing the car at Le Mans even though it was very unlucky (and was in the 'handicapped' GT1 class *cough cough*).
I really do hope good teams grab the car, namely Matech, to make the challenge interesting, and that you can obtain the necessary funding to grab a few top notch Pro drivers as GT2 has become a semi-pro category.

Next year will be very interesting with this addition. Wish you guys luck!

Best of luck , in your new project .

I'd just like to add , that Ford GT was the most exquisite sounding machine at Le Mans this year , I wasnt a big fan of it until I saw it , and shocked me at its performance . I loved it !!!

Bring it on .

There are no specs, as there is "still the possibility of constructive dialogue" between Nissan and the ACO.

Would love to see more of the Ford GT in ACO competition!

As for the GTR, Nissan would need to run a V6 (like the production car) & only then would I be curious to see how it stacks up against real competition.
