HornetV8 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Looking forward to this, visiting on both days

Best get looking for somewhere to stay then (or get buying more warm camping clothes)

Also Hello all by the way (first post here)

I hear that a 'Tiffany Dellee' may be entering the FF1600 race. Must be an up and coming youngster !

I would recommend Amesbury, there's a Travelodge and a couple of decent B&B's there and it's only about 10 miles away roughly.

DaveGT6 and I will be there in the Guards race in his Grantura but alas I don't think the Falcon will be ready for HTC which is a shame - still no engine and gearbox for it.

entered my Merlyn for Guards - sadly Jaguar not due to be finished until June so will miss HRSR race. My home circuit (although have not been round it since last HSCC race in 2000?)

I'll be there in the Alfa, never raced there before so I'll be tip-toeing around for the first couple of laps.

Will you need one of Kimi Raikkonen's circuit maps attached to the steering wheel?

If you get the chance to do the test day, do take it. The Goodwood, Village and Church complex is unlike any other track combination I ever raced at, and takes some time to really get to grips with as it gives the impression of going on for ever.

Local drivers always got the best of us "foreigners" whilst we were getting used layout.

Anyone know of any dirt cheap accomodation near Thruxton/Andover or near by?

Cheers

You could try The Hawk Inn, Amport (mention us), The White Horse, Thruxton Village (again mention us) or Premier Inn, Andover.

I've booked the Hawk Inn. Not especially cheap, but as the Memsahib will be with me....

Used the Red House a couple of weeks ago, clean but basic.

None of these places seem keen on doing breakfast at 06.30 though!

you should be fine in the Hawk, I would have added Grosvenor Hotel Stockbridge and Peat Spade, Longstock (although I have heard they are resting on their laurels).

Looking forward to the meeting and it is getting good local press coverage courtesy of a certain Thruxton instructor and his FF

I expect info will appear on the HSCC site (they normally put entries up) a week or so before. I know Thruxton are pushing the news that entries are over 250 for this.

As of 17.00hrs on Monday, entries stood at 266. That's an all time record for Thruxton

Pat, is the programme going include elimination heats or is it going to be the top "x" in qualifying go through to race according to the track license limitations. You'd better start painting grid slots back to the beginning of the chicane.

I'm really sorry but I can't answer that one, you'll need to speak to the HSCC office - I just need to find room in the paddock for everyone (loads of room on the track!).

I'll be out in the Martini at the back of the grid in my HS2 Lola T492 but hopefully I'll be out in my new group 6 car later in the year.

See you at Thruxton.

Regards

Kevin
