Route of all my problems I think. I'll stick to number 25 in future though. I might be tempted to use No.1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just joined a new championship and been given a different number! I might see if I can change, but if not I'll stick with #85. A new era for me? It is a new car this year, so perhaps it is apt.

In addition I shall have to improve my driving to overcome the additional weight of the numbers!

What will you be racing this year Adam?

As for numbers... I used to race as 48 and was very happy with it, then I got a new team mate and his car was 51. We thought we'd quite like consective numbers as we had matching cars so I checked availability with the organisers. It turned out that 47 and 49 were gone but both 50 and 52 were available. I decided to take a chance and change my number to 50. I didn't go for 52 because I was worried people might not notice straight away if I was upside down. Anyway, I've been quite happy with my new number , except that at the end of last season I entered a race where there was already a car 50 so I was allocated 58 (easy to change). Half way through practice my clutch disintegrated . I won't be using that number again.

Alex Hodgkinson should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
48 - the 1st number I ran with
24 - the number my dad used to race with
12 - natural progression

dtype38, I think It was me who kept the number 50 on my Spitfire in that race (Brands Enduro) Though it was not too lucky for me that day as my No3 con rod made its escape through the sump in practice! A shame really as we'd qualified in 4th.

At a guess, given that he said "I might see if I can change, but if not I'll stick with #85", Adam will be racing with the number...erm...hmm...let's have a stab...63.

Will your dad be using it as well Adam, if so will you both be in the XJS and powered by championships?

Ah, might have been able to help but I sold mine couple of years ago So I guess that means you want to go quickly. If you want to see a V12 XJS on the limit have a butchers at

http://www.jaguarracing.wz.cz/Video/...85jag-qual.avi

Now that's a bloke on the limit. Wish I could drive like TW.

I'm downloading the link. Thanks dtype38

falcemob, we still only have one car between us. So it will be one of us in each race. Although we will be doing another series too and, of course, Spa.

Iraced my first year as 51, and 53, got given 48 at Spa and blew the engine to smithereens ( I now know I was sold a dodgy crankshaft) so I want to go back to 51 please ! otherwise a 22, 7, or 71 would be good
