Which Autocourse annuals do you own?

This follows on from the F1 video ownership thread and the thread I started in the Champ Car forum.

I'd add a poll, but, err, how do you set up a poll for something of which there has been over 50 editions? (and wasn't there once more than one Autocourse per year back in the 1950s?)

Are there many out there who seek to collect old and out-of-print Autocourse from Chaters, eBay and wherever else they are available?

I have about 15 of the books from the last 20 years and I am looking to fill the gaps.

One of the problems is the cost of the 94 book (one that I don't have), chaters sells it for £165, but surely there are some cheaper somewhere????

I've got it.

My only gap since the eighties is 84/5. (I think). The other downer is the Jaguar version of 83/4. (Tim D can tell me if I've got this right because they're about four thousand miles away).

I've got all the annuals since 1961. I think that before this the book came out in various periodical forms - quarterly etc. I've decided that life is probably too short to pursue all the 1950s books so I'll just make do with what I've got.

I have all from 1975, plus 1963 (a steal on ebay for £120!), 1966 (poor condition but all pages intact and all info available, so worth the £30 I paid), 1969 and 1970. The big bargains were 1976 and 1977 which Chaters did for £50 apiece for a month or so a few years back, guess they had a surfeit of them. That's half the regular price at the time.

1994 was a small print run after the big print run for 1992 flopped and 1993 was worse. Only of course Senna's death makes it more collectable.

1988-1989 and 1992-2002. Going to get 2003 as well, older ones are bit difficult, and those books are quite expensive.

1976-77 to 1993-4 inclusive. I sort of lost the urge to collect when F1 cars developed high beaks. Just a personal taste thing.

I've got about half a dozen of the 1950s magazine format Autocourses, but while they are fascinating, they are also extremely difficult to locate and it's just about impossible justifying £50 to yourself for a magazine, which is what they seem to go for nowadays.

Ditto.

For the record, my collection includes 1983 and 1992-present with 1984 on order.

WRT the Autocourse top 10, if you don't want to know it, look away now.

1 M.Schumacher
2 Alonso
3 Raikkonen

I can't understand why Montoya is below Raikkonen, JPM won 2 races, to Kimi's 1.

Much as I respect Alan Henry, I found it astonishing. Numbers 2-4 were all more impressive than number 1 (who had a much better car and the rules on his side), 7 arguably did better than 3 and 4, 8 would not have got house room after the first 3 races and Fisichella, who won as many races as Raikkonen only in the worst car on the grid bar 1, is not included???

I don't have any AC or Automobile Year, but I consult the library of the local Automobile Club which has 7 Autocourse (1959-60-61-62-64-69-80) and a bunch of Automobile Year (1953, 1955, 1960, 1967 and beyond until 1998). I hope nobody thought to steal these valuable books from this public library!!!
