I don't know where you are from, but the same team running Fords and Chevys in the US is virtually unheard of. That is why it is interesting to me. Using BMWs and Hondas or Lexus and something else just isn't like Fords and Chevys. The competition between Ford and Chevy is so intense that it just seems odd that neither manufacturer would object to such an arrangement. Not that it shouldn't happen, but just that it is so very unusual and; therefore, just interesting. I was just trying to get someone in the know to comment on how something like this has come about. Does anyone else know of a team that runs both Fords and Chevys? Imagine if Hendrick Motor Sport suddenly ran Fords in TUSCC. I would say that that would be very interesting!

It's not that unheard of. Look at Ganassi's history. I don't think he's ever run the same equipment in all three series simultaneously. I'm not sure if Penske did, either. IRL, NASCAR, GA (TUSCC) are apples, oranges and melons.
Yeah, I know the Ford/Chevy rivalry, still different exposures from the series.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ganassi probably owns one, at least, of every dealership, also.
Hendricks, yeah, since he's historically a pure Chevy guy, and nothing but Chevy.
Ganassi/Hendricks... chalk/cheese.

^This is exactly why it is kind of strange. Chevy vs. Ford is an intense rivalry in the USA.

As a lifelong Chevy fan, I find this Ford partnership to be just one more reason to cheer against Pruett and Ganassi! (Not that I like the Chevy DPs either, I don't.)

I'd say that Hendricks is the "defacto" Chevy factory team in NASCAR (as I don't really follow it, this is what I understand, could be wrong), and Ganassi's not... His running something different, in a different series, with factory money, makes sense, as he runs his race teams as seperate businesses.

Is the entry list form for the Daytona and Sebring November tests gone? As long as there are 2-3 cars at least in each class (particuarly GTLM) then I think that is good enough.

I get the Ganassi/Penski differences from Hendrick but I'd still like for someone to point out to me where a major team ran Chevys in one major series and Fords in another. I'm guessing there are not many (if any) examples of that. Like I said, I find it interesting.

Falken Tire veterans Bryan Sellers and Porsche Factory driver Wolf Henzler will return as the drivers for the 17 Porsche.

True, Penske, Andretti (man, that's a distant memory! :-))and Ganassi are the only examples I can think of off the top of my head, as teams that have run full seasons in more than one series.

Not determined at this time. Our first race will be Sebring, which is still four months away.

Not a dumb question at all. We've gotten it at least 15 times today. It's a common one! We're going to be putting all of our resources into getting ready for the new car and its debut at the 12 Hours of Sebring, as well as each race for the remainder of the season. Points are important, but our main purpose of competition in sports cars is tire development. Preparing fully for the new car will aid our development better throughout the season.
