Expect a WRT Audi too - hopefully with 4 wheels on the tarmac this year....

It's starting to heat up!

Lucas Di Grassi for his first GT3 run, alongside Nico Muller and Robin Frijns in factory backed WRT cars, along with Pommer in Aust and Fabian in HCB

Pretty nice team for Audi to go against Rosenqvist in the Ferrari, Van Der Zande in the Honda, Chaz Mostert Fafus and Wittmann in BMW's and the yet to be announced Mercedes Armanda...

Oh and you can be sure of a few factory porsches too...

Now if only the circuit allowed for Racing...

Like you said wouldn't it be good if they did this event on a circuit you could actually overtake, I don't really understand the hype of Macau... a shame really as they normally get a decent entry for it

It is not the first time Lucas di Grassi is in a GT3. He drove once in a army camouflaged AF Corse Ferrari.

I am not that sure yet if Fabian can drive. As he is a silver driver, and the FIA changed the rules that only Gold and Platinum drivers are allowed.

Also might expect an Absolute Bentley, Lamborghini (FFF?) and possible still a few silver drivers (Marchy Lee, Pasin Lathouras, Hunter Abbott) if they are accepted in any way.

Can't understand why bmw didn't hire IMSA drivers for macau instead of drivers who barely but nurburgring drove a m6 gt3 during this season.

Mr Mostert put a privately-entered M6 in P2 on the grid for the Bathurst 12hr this year, beating the two works cars.

That is a little bit of a suprise:
Vanthoor joins O'Young in an two car Porsche entry from Craft-Bamboo.

Good to see Porsche gives customers a chance. Although O'Young is a good driver, I don't expect him to see battle for the top positions agains guys like Vanthoor, Mortara, Engel, vd Zande, etc.

Looks like a healthy depth in quality there. Wish there was more participation from Ferrari though.

Any news on Bentley or Lamborghini entries?

A article announcing either the BMW or Mercedes line up said 6-7 manufacturers, and exactly 20 cars.

We have 6 manufacturers, and 17 cars announced.

I'd love to see Adderly Fong in a Bentley

Or Mirko Bortlotti in a Lamborghini

Still, even though we have this Stellar lineup, it's still a pointless circuit for overtaking.

They should knock down a few apartment blocks so we have better Racing...

Strong yes, but missing local drivers. Just two with Yoshimoto and O'Young. But where are drivers like Adderly Fong (Bentley - Absolute), Cheng Congfu (Audi - Absolute), Alessio Picariello (Audi R8 LMS Cup champion with Absolute), André Couto (FFF), Marchy Lee (Audi - Phoenix), Pasin Lathouras (Ferrari - AF Corse), Richard Lyons. Well I hope they will then show up at the Sepang 12 hours at least.

The emphasis this year has been to remove Pro Am drivers in a hope for better action unspoilt by as many crashes.

They intend on doing a Pro-Am race in addition next year, that may or may not be at Macau.

I've heard nothing in the way of entries for Sepang, I'm sure Ratel will be in Macau
encouraging teams to enter though

Shame not to see Adderly here too
