Which cars will be allowed to race? The same as in 2016? Because with TCN-2 running in WTCC I can't find sense to the S2000 class here.

TCN-2 again in the Etcc. A lot of the team of this championship has not the budget to step up in the new WTCC2 class.

Romeo Ferraris has delivered Team Unicorse first Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
They will compete in ETCC and they are targeting TCR International in Hungary and some races in TCR Italy and TCR Germany.
Also MOPAR is helping Romeo Ferraris in engine and differential tuning.

Any idea on the sales figures for the Audi so far? Sounds like there's a new one announced every other day!

Problem is that Seat announced that their Leon TCR is not going to be homologated as TCN2. The same for Audi and Volkswagen cars (as the decision has been taken by the whole VAG).

And in Adria, at the TCR Balance of Performance test, someone told me that even other companies are interested in not homologating as TCN2 their TCR cars... so the question is: who's going to race in ETCC?

As far as I understood, VW Group won't race their TCR in WTCC specifically, ETCC is not contemplated.

Audi, Seat and Volkswagen decided not to homolgate their TCR cars as TCN2, so they cannot be used in both FIA championships.

In fact, if you go to Etcc website's Regulations tab (link here), the technical regulations are only for TC2, TC2T and Super1600 cars. No talks at all about TCR rules.

I can understand that decision to be honest. If I were VAG I wouldn't want to see my cars as WTCC backmarker side-show either.

VW Group already ran TCN-2 last year in ETCC, so they have homologated their cars in this category. Jaime Puig talked only about WTCC. I think that it's necessary a kind of authorization by VW Group to use a Seat/VW/Audi in a championship: they won't give it for WTCC.

One week to Monza and there is only TWO entries for the season, or I missed something?

Are you talking about the Italian TCR Championship?
In our country first race will be in Adria May the 7th, not in Monza.

I don't have an official entry list, but I think at least 12/14 cars will be racing. Which, for Italy nowadays, is a good number. Last season TCR and TCS (a less powerful class, closer to production cars and so less expensive) cars were racing together, this season they'll be racing in separated events.

No problem

Other: Norbert Nagy said in April 8th that he wants to fight for the title in this year and he preparing for the first round. So they switch car, or the homologisation problem is solved or they just wait and hope.

Just before VW Group decided to not help the FIA, at the same time last year there were near equal confirmed entries. However, 2016 entries increased over time, not decreased.

The 2016 official entry list was published with 12 days before race 1. With only 10 days to go (8 till Monza Test 1) there are only 2 confirmed non-VAG cars. Maybe DTC downfall could help ETCC...
