Mark0994 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
TCR International Series Round 9: Zhejiang International Circuit

This weekend TCR International Series will visit Zhejiang International Circuit in China. Track was opened last year and it was built in Shaoxing.
Layout looks really good, especially twisted, up-and-down section between Turns 2 and 13 (this section look like rally stage or togue with mountain in close proximity of race track).

Circuit length is 3.200km and it have 16 turns.
Races will be 19 laps long.

There was no TCR International races in China last year, but in 2015 TCR raced at Shanghai International Circuit, with Gianni Morbidelli (Honda Civic) on pole for Race 1. Morbidelli won Race 1 in front of René Münnich and Kevin Gleason making it Honda 1-2-3.
Andrea Belicchi (Seat León) started Race 2 from pole. He won the race in front of Stefano Comini (Seat León) and Gianni Morbidelli (Honda Civic).

For this weekend Attila Tassi (Honda Civic) will carry 30kg of Success ballast, while Norbert Michelisz (Honda Civic) will have 20kg. Dušan Borković (Alfa Romeo Giulietta) and Giacomo Altoè (Volkswagen Golf/Honda Civic) will have 10kg of Success ballast. Since Michelisz and Altoè will miss this round their ballast will not be allocated.

China weekend will be supported by TCR Asia, TCR China and Audi R8 LMS Cup

Timetable (CET)
Saturday, 7 October
Free Practice 1, 4:00am
Free Practice 2, 6:00am
Qualifying, 9:30am
Sunday, 8 October
Race 1, 8:30am
Race 2, 10:05am

Team/Driver news

Giacomo Altoè has finished his TCR International season and he will not be present in China, while M1RA will be back at running 2 cars.
Comtoyou Racing will field third car, Seat León for Denis Dupont (This is Zele Racing car that was used by Ferenc Ficza at the start of the season).
Rafaël Galiana will be back in WestCoast Racing, this time behind the wheel of Volkswagen Golf.
Hyundai will field 2 of their new i30 N TCR cars, with Gabriele Tarquini and Alain Menu behind the wheel. Cars will be run by BRC Racing Team.
Look like there will be just one Opel Astra for Mat'o Homola.
Chinese ZZZ Team will field 2 Audi RS3's for Jiang Tengyi and Zhang Zhendong.

TCR Asia and TCR China competitors won't run together with TCR International drivers, but as in Shanghai they will run with each other.

Immediately there will be crying over Hyundai BoP.

Also, what's with the AM radio commentary this weekend?

I guess it's a new circuit, maybe the com booth isn't fully equipped yet. Listening into the TCR Asia race, it doesn't even seem like they have a pop filter on the mic (to stop sound of breathing, lap smacking etc).

Good play by WRT, with little rubber on the ground starting from 2nd will be the best starting position fo Vernay's as it's positioned on the inside on the run up to T1. Sritrai had a rocket start from there in Race 2 of TCR Asia, moved into the lead easily.

And fortunate Hyundai are running a temp homologation, or there would be many cries out against BOP..

Those Hyundais either ran Lotti-approved promotional boost, which is a bit of a joke, or they are genuinely amazing, in which case trade in your JAS or VAG and have a one-make series.

Failing that, make the Hyundai run with ballast, reduced boost and a higher ride height. At which point, Hyundai wasted lots of time and money making the car decent.

These results were even with Tarquini playing games in race one and two, where he let Menu past twice.

Also - There's a 10-second penalty for the local driver having a dive at Homola, yet Huff's moves aren't even investigated? What.....

Agree with Huff statement. He should get some penalty for that.
But aren't BoP meant to equalise cars?
No matter if there is brand new Subaru Levorg or 4 year old Cruze in BTCC, or if AMG, Lambo and others have 10 time bigger budget than Emil Frey and they still are running in top 10.
But BoP is still out of place in TCR, Morbidelli and Huff time was 1 second faster than Seat Leon and Hyundai i30.
Also this team and drivers moaning is going out of control. Seat, Audi and Alfa drivers are always in problem when are they loosing, but when they are winning it's fantastic.
Especially Oriola, Nash, Comini and Borkovic.
If they are so good how is it possible then when Ficza was driving Seat he was faster then all three of Craft-Bamboo cars, Zhendong was driving his first race today in Audi RS3 and he made faster laps then Vervisch in Race 2 and Comini in Race 1. Also Kajaia is almost always faster then Borkovic and has so much bad luck, and he never moaned in some interview...

There was definitely some moves there that should have been penalised in both races, Oriola's block on Morbidelli in R1 and Huff in R2.

As far as BOP goes, if Opel, Audi or Alfa have a good weekend, next time out they are BOP'd to be uncompetitive. Seat, VW and Honda never seem to get the same level of BOP even if they dominate.

The Hyundais looked as if they were running an aggressive engine mode, regardless it seems like a really strong car.

What happened to the Zengo Kias?

Tarquini again making the most of his chances, and quite right too.

No idea how Huff got away with that move on Morbidelli.
