Is there a chance that some of the 'America' components will be part of the GT3R?

GT3R meaning road car? Or RSR? Or.....

If it's the road car, maybe.

Good point, and the discussion of lmp3 on mwm tonight could be pertinent to the future of tusc.

A single make coupe at or near the current price point may also be an option? A Multimatic/Lola with Ford, Chevy or Dodge BoPed engine option?
Several mfgs would more than likely be willing to build the cars.

Hmm, I had thought about that as well, but the other way around... make PC a class for 2nd hand P2 cars with a cost effective spec power train (Why not the P3 one ?).

A PC class composing of 2nd Hand LMP2 cars would not work in my opinion, despite the premise of having spec engine and transmission. The problem is that it'll cost more money to detune old LMP2 cars.

A LMP3 car would be a viable solution if they're proven as reliable and cost-effective than the FLM/LMPC car.

pederb has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
What I think they need to do is to start mixing LMP-3 with PC and slowly phase out the PC for the new LMP-3

Great idea, but it seems that the IMSA are currently not keen to have LMP3 cars at the PC class.

LMP3 should be introduced to IMSA Lites, not the Tudor SportsCar Championship.

Those BHF suck, at the performance envelope of PC it does not need them. I am a fan of the car(s) being a full 2 seater though. I also believe that by having the BIG 3 (American) as engine options, even though BoPed, gives the illusion of rivalry competitions that could stir new fan interest for TUSC.

Well if IMSA is involved in the negotiations with the ACO about the new 2017 LMP2 regs and we know they will push for manufactuer styling cues, maybe they can help get the fins out.

I don't mind the fins.
To my eye, they don't detract from the look of the cars at all.
Red mirrors, wing end plates and windscreen banners on the other hand........

Anybody see the humor in Dagys' use of a PWC picture to head his article on IMSA's announcement of future classes?

Has anyone noticed that Turner Motorsports are testing a GTLM car this weekend? Is this a typo or a sign that they may be moving up to GTLM?

Since they have the #911 and #912 listed as GTD too, I'd say it's a typo. :-)

Sad for us, smart for AA. predictable.

The list of potential P2 teams shrinks with every race TUSC management's bungled P-class BoP persists.

We might see 2 or 3 at Daytona, and 1 the rest of the way in the NAEC as ESM's "mandatory" entry.
