Besides an entry list there is no finalised calendar (the one in Motorsport News had Calder ASC meeting) and no information about resolving the financial problems that caused the scrapping of TV coverage at the end of last year.

Announced today, EC cancelled on April 5, only 3 entries received across all categories. Not good times ahead it would seem.

The multi club was too close to the state championship round.Maybe they don't need the second circuit after all.

From Allans point of view, he had an absolute ball out there. He thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and highly commended the value and competitive spirit of the series.

Major thumbs up to the Aussie race cars.....

The Aussie Racers have a habit of arriving en mass at the Pre Grid at the very last minute at most events I've been so perhaps they didn't allow for the extra time taken to get through the large number of people in the support paddock area and they ran out of time and got the gate closed on them.

I heard second hand of some interesting radio messages at the time but as I didn't hear them myself wont air them publicly.

I was there with Allan

a message came round in plenty of time that the start/dummy grid was delayed by 30 minutes.

Then, at the last moment before the originally scheduled time, they said they were running on time again...

People had gone off wandering around due to the 30 minute delay, which didn't happen.

xr8 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

All cars and drivers were on the dummy grid.
No 1 minute board was ever shown as per sub regs.
Green flag was waved and panick stations commenced.
Drivers started driving through the gate, but when seventeen of the thirty two had passed through the gate a command came down from the very top to shut the gate!
Grid marshalls shut the gate, stranding fifteen cars, without any reason why.
Race took place with Richie Rappa winning, Kyle Clews second David Lawrence third.
After much discusion the results of this race were scratched and the final was a rerun of this race with Rappa first, Clews second, Gowans third.
Further action is being taken with the officials of the meeting, with letters of discontent being signed by all competitors managers & sponsors.
All support classes were shafted at some time, minis race being cut to 3 laps, ARC race one cut 2 laps short because an official had some dirt in her eyes. Competitors not happy campers!

GT's are mostly happy enough. Sure, sunday was not great, but it was partly (mostly) self inflicted through appalling driving standards.
