I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had a chuckle at that interview.

It is one thing to promote an event and another to lose money on it. Homebush was never a good venue and Gosford should be better in every way.

I would've thought Heimgartner would be a better bet than Owen, given that he's been driving all year, and was still hanging about in the PRA shed.

What Happened to Ash Walsh. Why was Alex Davison in the car?

They benched him to move the car slightly further up the grid.

Thanks for that... sounds like what 111 did.
I heard Erebus mention that they still didn't have a pilot for his car next year but I missed why he wasn't driving.

Congrats to Frosty, kept calm under pressure over the weekend and deserves the Championship.

I don't think many expected what he dished up. Yes he had some mechanical issues, however his qualifying and race pace was ordinary at best.

So Winterbottom/Canto, Chaz/???, Waters/???

I guess we'll have to wait and see who pops up in a PRA DVS car next year.

Another lucky escape for SVG from the hit/pass on Courtney IMO, it looked like he still had a lot of turning, and slowing down, to do at the point the two cars collided. Mind you, we want to see racing so I am not advocating to come down hard on everything.

I wonder if they can use something the Hawkeye system from the cricket to figure out whether he would have made the corner (allowing racing room for Courtney!) without the collision? Probably too hard to set up, apparently the cricket system uses 6 cameras to feed the system, which would not be feasible for 10-15 corners per circuit.

They have separate on-board data that helps to detirmine these things.

The point is, Mr Courtney was as much responsible for allowing racing room, as Mr van Gisbergen was.

It's the same old thing, week in, week out. The guy being passed, turns down on the guy trying to make a move. He wouldn't have turned in that early on the previous lap, and that's pretty much what they look at.

I understand that, I just think van Gisbergen would have hit Courtney no matter how much room had been left, so SVG was lucky that Courtney squeezed him.

Neil Crompton says he's found Greg Murphy's actual Coates Hire portaloo and teases him about the infamous five-minute penalty at the 2002 Bathurst 1000.
