Should the WSBK follow the 4 cylinder 1000cc rule?

Does anyone else think that the WSBK should follow the BSBK and allow the 4 cylinder machines to have a 1000cc capacity? This move might improve interest from Yamaha and Suzuki and would allow those in the BSBK to race in the British rounds of the series.

If it can keep the WSBK series alive, then yes, the rules should be changed to allow these bikes.

No.

The weight limit needs to be increased for the twins. But a properly developed 1000cc four cylinder motorcycle would eat a twin. That's the way life is. The pendulumn needs to move more towards the Japanese Fours. But not all the way over to the other side.

As for as i know the rules for 2004 will allow 4 cylinder 1000cc machine's, pretty much any configuration will apply, 4 cylinder 1000s, 5 cylinder, 6 cylinder, twin cylinder 1000cc, 900cc bikes etc.. you name it, and there will be weight limits applied to keep it even.

During this year and next though, i just think Kawasaki and Suzuki should try harder, if they put some proper development in i'm sure they would be competitive with the twins.

but kawasaki doesnt do twins, they do i4s and besides that, who else is making a 750cc i4s besides? yamahas last 750s was a one-off bike with just enough made to meet the rules and kawasakis bike is how old again? the litre bikes are what the manufactors want anyways ...

btw - im not too happy about the rummoured 600 gp2 class. id rather have them release their 400cc road bikes and let them and the 250gp bikes go at it.

mmmm ... rvf400

How the regulation in AMA superbike different than british and wsbk? Nicky on honda lost only one race so far, but the race is much closer, and he just doesn't run away like bayliss and rossi.

kawasaki will withdraw next year from wsb, isn't it official?

I wanna see more efforts from nonDucatii manufactures to keep the series alive, and give chance to domestic riders like Gobert and nicky. they deserve the ride in wsb, but no seat is available for them unless they move to ducati.

ama and wsb only has minor differnce. wsb uses leaded and ama uses unleaded, or least used to.

the big differnce is between bsb and the rest of the superbikes. they let litre bikes have limited engine updates but in wsb spec chasis compete against superbikes.

ajrr has a similiar rules, its like motogp bikes competing against superbikes competing against litre bikes with superbike chasis

From all reports I've read, yes, Kawasaki will be pulling out of the WSBK next year and entering the MotoGP arena. They are in a technical partnership with Suzuki.

Suzuki were supposedly pulling out of the WSBK after Sugo, but apparently will stay until the end of this season. However, there are rumours that they will stay put in WSBK, which is good news.

Es Nes I'd like to talk more about this rummour that you spoke of..GP2 600cc class.
Is this how they are going to wreck the 250's???
I personally love the 250 series (last few years i've enjoyed it as much as the 500's) and would hate to hear that they are going to go though with what you refered too.(hay that rhymes)

Maybe, maybe not. I'd prefer then not to. They should be strong enought to go their own way and not follow the leader.
