Yes, plenty of parking. Not all that many fans there (not expected to be tho'). At least a GAZILLION Boy Scout (or whatever they were; 'didn't ask) campers tho'.

Yep Fox, you're out of date on your info, given that Porsche Motorsport took him from Rebellion's LMP1 team at the end of the 2013 WEC season, and he's the only one of Porsche's defending champion drivers who's returning to the #1 Porsche next year after Leib's and Dumas' retirements to Porsche's non-driving operations. Bamber and Tandy will be replacing them, with Andre Lotterer replacing the also recently retired Mark Webber (Lotterer going to Porsche reportedly due to terms of his Audi Sport contract, as well as worries over if Toyota/TMG would pay him if he were allowed to drive for them, since Toyota Motorsport/TOMS reportedly hardly pays him anything for him driving for them in Super Formula).
Sorry for the long story, but Jani is the fastest man ever at LM as of 2015, he's the only one of the championship winning trio from the last WEC season's drivers' championship who'll be returning to Porsche as a race driver. Porsche Motorsport are only loaning him to Rebellion for Rebellion's limited IMSA schedule. And that could be for Daytona only unless Rebellion enter more than one car for Watkins Glen and PLM. |

Everybody knows "that Neel Jani guy", who everybody said was terrible just buys team kit on ebay and swans around the paddock pretending he's better than he is.

Not wanting to pile on (he said insincerely as he jumped atop the pile) but F Fox, if you are going to visit a sports car forum and tell everybody what's up .... you should know what's up.
That Neel Jani guy might have a good career ahead of him in sportscar racing ... if he can find a decent ride with an up-and-coming team once he quits that lame Porsche gig. Once he gets past being ... you know, Champion of the World ... he might make something of himself .... inside sources say. |

Looks like the BoP on the Cadillac will be reversed if this is the "true" pace difference. The LMP2s can't be changed, per the ACO agreement.

I don't think the BoP should be changed based on these results. The most developed car, with the reigning World Champion and Le Mans winner driving was top? That's not a surprise. The Caddy will find more time naturally, but Rebellion have by far the best driver line up, so this shouldn't be a surprise. |

Because he's at the Roar, and he's impressively quick. That was Formula Fox's original and entirely correct point, but that doesn't stop keyboard warriors such as myself joining in with some gentle joshing
Every single one of those Rebellion drivers are quick, and on pure speed alone I doubt any of the other teams can really hold a candle to their overall line-up. I fear the team will come unstuck in racing conditions though. Daytona is an incredibly tactical race, and a lack of experience racing there will cost them time. Their race craft is likely to be a little rusty too, given that they've effectively been racing themselves for a few years now. |

But that's what I'm getting at. They've raced in America in the past, but this is still new territory for them. I'd put money on them claiming a convincing pole, but a podium would be good result for them. |

He's the quickest man at Daytona right now, and is (and probably will be for quite a while at least) the fastest man ever at Le Mans.

Red flag. But not before the times started dropping. Low 38s now for the 81 ORECA and Mazda. No representative time for a Caddy yet today.

Don't see it posted here yet but Fassler had a nasty sounding incident in the Corvette.
