MEDIA RELEASE

15th JANUARY 2002

US STARS GIVE ADDED BITE TO PANOZ 2002 DRIVER LINE-UP

There will be some added stars and stripes flavor for the leading US-based
prototype team in 2002 for the American Le Mans Series - Panoz Motor Sports.

The Braselton, Georgia based squad today announced Americans Bryan Herta and
Terry Borcheller will team up aboard one of the team¹s revised LMP-1
prototype machines Â* joining international regulars, Australian David
Brabham and Danish driver Jan Magnussen.

³I am really delighted to welcome such a recognized and accomplished road
course expert like Bryan Herta to our team,² Don Panoz said.

³Bryan is a proven performer and his record both in Champ cars and in the
junior formulas is outstanding and he should make a very handy addition to
team and it is also fantastic to welcome such a high-profile name to our
championship.

³Terry Borcheller has earned his spot with some great performances in the
ALMS in the slower classes, but the work he has done so far with the team
has been outstanding.

³I think they will make a great combination and having two Americans on the
team will really give the crowds something to cheer for.²

A two-time winner in CART, Herta is eagerly awaiting the chance to make his
sportscar debut and making the transition from Champ cars.

³This is completely different to what I have done in the past and I am
really looking forward to the opportunity,² Herta said.

³Don (Panoz) invited me to try the car before Christmas and I really didn¹t
know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised because the performance of
the car was quite a bit higher than I expected.

³The carbon fiber brakes were exceptional and the car was really nice to
drive. The other thing that impressed me was the team itself Â* they know
how to win and are highly motivated. As a driver, that is all that you can
ask of your team.²

Herta has enjoyed a glittering career in American road racing. He is a
former winner of the Barber Saab Pro Series (1991) and also clinched the
1993 Indy Lights crown. Making his debut in Champ cars in 1994, Herta¹s
Champ car career includes 43 top ten and 19 top five finishes including
back-to-back victories at Laguna Seca in 1998 and 99.

The chance to contest the fabled 24 Hours of Le Mans was a key factor in
Herta¹s move to the world of sportscars along with the opportunity to do
battle on some of America¹s finest road courses.

³Without doubt Le Mans is one of the biggest races in the world and an event
that every driver wants to do,² Herta said.

³It was something that I have always wanted to do and I never knew when the
opportunity would present itself. To have the chance to do it in a front
running car like Panoz is a great opportunity.

³To also work with two of the best sportscar drivers in the world like David
(Brabham) and Jan (Magnussen) is a great opportunity for me. I have a lot
of respect for what those guys have achieved in their careers.

³I hope to be able to learn a great deal from them because this style of
racing is very different to what I am used to in Champ cars.

³With four different classes, the traffic situation is going to be a lot
more frantic and that is what makes it so great for the race fans.
Maintaining a strong pace through the traffic is going to be a real
challenge.

³The other exciting factor is the chance to race on some of my favorite
tracks like Laguna Seca, Elkhart Lake and Mid-Ohio which I know well from my
days in Champ cars.²

Herta¹s team-mate Terry Borcheller has been one of the busiest and most
versatile men in American road racing in recent years. His crowning glory
was winning the GTS Championship in last year¹s American Le Mans Series Â*
earning him the chance to join the Panoz squad for 2002.

³When I first got the chance to try the car it was a bit overwhelming, but
once I got out on the track, the car was very comfortable,² Borcheller said.

³This is certainly the best opportunity of my career and I am really
grateful to Don Panoz for the opportunity. I believed one day I might get
the chance to compete in the prototype class, but I really couldn¹t see how
I could make it happen.

³I have driven all sorts of cars in recent years but I really want to make
the most of this opportunity.

³The Panoz team are a stellar group of guys and I am really looking forward
to teaming up with Bryan (Herta). We actually raced against each other many
years ago in Barber Saab and he has had a fantastic career.

³To be in a team with guys like David (Brabham), Jan (Magnussen) and Bryan
(Herta) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me.

³Don Panoz has given me a great opportunity and taken a chance on me and I
will be out to repay him.²

The Panoz team today began a three-day test at Sebring hosted by Michelin
with Brabham, Magnussen, Herta and Borcheller on hand to sample the car.

I am sincerely glad that Herta found a home. He is a good road racer and may make a big difference in their team. Terry Borcheller has proved his ability in lesser classes and looks poinsed to add his name to the roll of domestic road racing talent in the top ranks.

Well done Don.

MEDIA RELEASE

16th JANUARY 2002

JEANNETTE GRABS ³DREAM JOB² WITH PANOZ MOTOR SPORTS

Young 19-year-old road racing stand-out Gunnar Jeannette has been ear-marked
for future stardom by leading American Le Mans Series squad, Panoz Motor
Sports.

Panoz has signed the Florida-born Jeannette as official test driver for
2002. The young star will also contest the 24 Hours of Le Mans and may also
climb aboard the Panoz LMP-1 for the Sebring 12 Hour and Petit Le Mans
events.

The youngest ever finisher at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2000, Jeannette has
relocated from West Palm Beach in Florida to Gainsville, Georgia to take up
his new duties.

In addition to his testing schedule, Jeannette also will serve as an
instructor at the Panoz Racing School located at Road Atlanta.

The son of renown historic racing Porsche restorer, Kevin Jeannette, Gunnar
made his road racing debut at Road Atlanta in 1999 aboard 911 and 935
historic Porsches.

After making a name for himself aboard machinery that was much older than
him, Jeanette stepped up to modern machinery in 2000, teaming up with
actor-racer, Paul Newman at the Daytona 24 Hour.

In two trips to the 24 Hour of Le Mans, Jeannette finished on both
occasions, finishing 2nd in class and 7th overall last year.

³Gunnar has not only showed tremendous ability but has a unique maturity for
somebody so young,² Don Panoz said.

³In his outings in the car so far he has done exceptionally well and we have
signed him with an eye to the future. He will be able to learn a great deal
from our existing drivers and I am sure he will become a regular member of
our team in the not too distant future.

³Being based in Atlanta will give him the perfect opportunity to get plenty
of miles in the car.²

Jeannette is eagerly awaiting the chance to return to the 24 Hours of Le
Mans in June Â* this time in a car capable of winning the event.

³This is a brilliant opportunity for me and I really can¹t thank Dr Panoz
enough,² Jeanette said.

³To go to Le Mans in a front running car that could actually win is stuff
that dreams are made of. This is what I have been aiming for, but I never
believed the chance would come along so soon Â* this really is such an
honor.²

While Jeannette will only contest selected races for Panoz this season, the
young protégé will attend all races in the American Le Mans Series with the
team.

³This is really exciting for me because I have never had to chance to spend
an entire year with a team Â* it has always been odd races here and there,²
Jeannette said.

³I am really looking to learn as much as I can. To get to work with guys
like David (Brabham), Jan (Magnussen), Bryan (Herta) and Terry (Borcheller)
will be a huge boost for my career.²

³I got the chance to test the car before Christmas which was a major bonus
in itself. The car felt fantastic and obviously Dr Panoz liked what he
saw.²

³I can¹t thank him enough Â* this is the biggest thing that has ever happened
in my life.²

Jeannette has joined his team-mates today in a three-day test at Sebring
hosted by Michelin this week
