Kerry Baily's New Aston Martin Sports Sedan

This looks very smick indeed. The body with doors, is built of Carbonfibre,a Model of the car acted as inspiration. 750hp, 2,500lbs.All new underneath.

Very nice! I heard about this over a year ago and was wondering what was happening with the project til I saw a pic in this weeks Auto Fiction. Shame its not packing a Lambo V12 as rumoured.

The Chevrolet engine is cheaper and has a lot of low end grunt.

Maybe so but it would be interesting to see how the other engine would've fared nonetheless.

I doubt there really was another engine. He thought with an exotic looking body like that, he could have put in something more exotic, but went with the generic Chevrolet.

Is it just me or is there something not quite right with the dimensions of that body. Roof looks a bit low and the windscreen rake a bit different from stock.

Agree - but then it is a sports sedan and that kinda goes with the territory doesn't it?

Not the roof, A, B and C pillar. AFAIK the dimensions must be as per stock. That may have changed since the Trans-Am cars though.

Could just be the angle of the photo too but doesn't look quite right.

Mr Revhead has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I think the windscreen banner and paint scheme are making it look like that. Looks fine to me

Dimension requirements aside, personally I think it looks better than the real deal.

It might be the graphics. I know KB wanted to keep it looking 'original' and the attached GT1 Hexis AMR Aston was obviously the one that caught his eye - it also looks low & mean compared to some of the other paint jobs

I dont know how to upload photos sorry - follow the link to http://www.supercars.net/Pics?viewPi...D=1&pID=990979

Dameon Jameson turned up in the Jaguar with a stunning new paint job and later on will have all Carbonfibre panels. It has some already. The car was unfortunately wrecked at the meeting.

Love the car but it aint the same without the original screaming Aston Martin V12. That was one of the best sounding engines in GT racing.
As I said before , it never had a Aston Martin V12 or was designed to have one. The body was NOT taken from a production Aston Martin.

I didnt mean it in that way. Im a big sportscar racing fan and used to hearing a DBR9 with a screaming Aston V12 up the front and now this replica (what else could you call it) rumbles along with a big V8. Its a bit weird seeing something and hearing something different then what Im used to. Not fussed what engine it runs, its just great to see the car out racing.

As I said before, love the car, a beautiful machine. The choice of a DBR9 lookalike is a bit left field but a great one at that.

It has a 780hp Carburreted ex-Nationwide NASCAR engine. Decidedly less exotic, but netherless effective alternative.
