Didn't it go;

Ross Palmer bought the Commodore of Barry Lawrence for Andrew Harris to race, while Harris lent the ex-AJ Falcon to Dick Johnson for the race

profi - Ross Palmer was Dick Johnson's main sponsor

Limiting it to race cars Rob, can you put some dollars on any of them?

Any bought at auction?

What is the go with a certain eligibility officer on the east cost who dodged up the paperwork on a few group c/a cars and then on sold them as genuine cars?? I don't know the exact details but do know it happened from a very reliable source in the scene...

I personally think some stuff was over priced and some not too bad, but also a few people will not sell their cars now because by selling they will have to accept a loss on their initial investment (and for those who ever thought racing cars as an investment made a very wrong assumption )... I personally think money is better spend else where in regards to Historic race cars than group c/a cars in Australia but if you want to race with them you have to buy one of few cars that are able to be run.. So in the end it is a question of how badly do you want to race in group c/a and how badly someone wants to sell the group c/a car you want to buy.. As it seems there is a decent number of guys still committed to running them, which is a good thing and as such I can't see prices dropping too much unless your one of the dreamers out their trying to sell for well above fair market price

Rob Sherrard's Sauber Mercedes would have to be the most valuable race car in the country.

Apology for sending the thread so far off the original David, lets try & get it
back ....

The Sauber first though, 1.5-2.0 mil Euros asking price, is this the one:

Back to Group A:
http://www.ibcholdings.com.au/cars/s...990/index.html

Always dubious about asking price against an auction, e,g an XJC Jag recently
http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/...-09-19-BON-336

Any Group A or C sales at auction?
