Remember that the BMF existed in 2005 & 2006 without the 12 hr - it was added as feedback from the 'punters' was that they wanted more racing & less parades |

How long before Hi-Tec attempts to muscle the current organisers out and call it their own, like they've done with other events they've been involved with?

AMCHAMP numbers are on the decline sadly. I think the next round in QLD will have very low entry numbers.
Yet the numbers for the NSW state events are on the rise. We've purchased a 3E car now specifically for this 6HR event. I can't wait for it. But I will also be interested to see what happens with AMCHAMPS next year. Fingers crossed the 6hr will give a boost to the series in some way as there is a lot of interest gathering around the event. |

Just wait, I hear whispers from a very reliable source about a Tasman revival style meeting at Mount Panorama.

If V8$upercars **** the 12 Hr, this is well worth the drive from Brisbane.
I'll see how the 2016 12 hr goes, then make the decision for 2017. Based on V8$upercars record, I'm not condfident. |

ENTRIES SET TO FLOW FOR BATHURST 6 HOUR
ENTRIES for the inaugural Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour will open next week following strong early interest from Australian Production Car competitors in Bathurst’s newest enduro. More than 70 expression of interest forms were received from eligible competitors with Event organisers confident that the early interest will translate into a strong field contesting the brand-new race, to be held within the Bathurst Motor Festival across the Easter long weekend next year. |

ON-TRACK PROGRAM FINALISED FOR 2016 BATHURST MOTOR FESTIVAL
THE FIVE categories that will join the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour on the 2016 Bathurst Motor Festival program have been confirmed. Bumper grids are assured from the three race and two regularity categories set to feature on a bumper Easter long-weekend program. Production Sports Cars, Historic Touring Cars and HQ Holdens will race while Motor Festival regulars, the Porsche Club of NSW and the New South Wales Road Racing Club, will each bring huge fields of competitors looking for their once-a-year chance to get laps at Bathurst. |

Have owned my own HQ and crewed on sports sedans, historics and sprintcars... Been out of the game for a while (got married - bad trade). Any leads appreciated? |

Really looking forward to this race with tickets, accommodation, travel etc booked but a bit mystified about the TV ad.
There's not one car in the ad that is on the entry list so far. Marc Focus's are not even eligible yet they may up the majority of the ad. Hopefully the 12 hour winning BMW will join in... |

I saw something on the news about an action between the Bathurst Council and the FOSC and the Council won and was seeking $2M in legal fees from the FOSC.
Unfortunately I only saw the end of the item so no other details to give. Does anyone know any more? |

Plenty of info on the internet. Trackcorp were seeking over $4 m from the council relating to their refusal to accede to the extension option that was evidently in the contract-guess Council had pretty sound reasons for taking the stance they took and it appears that the courts agree. The Drive Bathurst days were for the well healed wanting to do laps of the iconic track as well as in the early days people like Alan Heaphy using it to test the Evos he would run in the 12hour a few months later. |

Thanks old fart. As I noted I only saw the end of the TV item where they mentioned a Mt Panorama organiser. I coludn't see anything about it on the Bathurst Council website. So my post was more a request for info.
