When it came to Super Touring the fans did have a choice, if they didn't like Super Tourers they had the V8s to watch, both for a national title and at Bathurst. |

The build quality of Supercars, I think, stepped up over time to match the workmanship of the Super Tourers from about 10-15 years earlier. Lots of beautifully turned out pieces on the 2011 Bathurst winner, for example: https://duttongarage.com/Holden-VE-C...Supercar~17768 As much as people like to knock Walkinshaw, that is clearly a well-made car with a lot of attention to detail. Definitely by 2010, you could say the Supercar build quality was on par with the Super Tourers from 15 years earlier, IMO.. not too many "towers of power" by this time. The Brock Advantage racing car is certainly fairly rudimentary by comparison! Last edited by V8 Fireworks; 11 May 2017 at 02:12. |
