Thunder sport car: Dennis Humphries Motorsport

Sorry to 'start' a new thread, but trying to get some focus on my Lola T 492.

Back in the mid 80's a Dennis Humphries based in Herne Bay ran a Lola T492 in Thundersport 'shape' (maybe).
I have no further details to the body etc but i hope you experts might have a clue.

The key to all this is i have that T 492 (now a hillclimb Sports Libre with a 3200cc Porsche engine) that is missing it's chassis number. I just want to know the chassis number!

Any details of Dennis, the car, or his whereabouts would be most welcome.
I have the tel number in Herne Bay he used in '85 when he sold the car to Alan Humberstone, but some background info would be good.

Graham.

I don't think his name appears in the Thundersport results (one of the links I PM'd you). As he had a Libre Chevron B43 F3 car for sale at the same time, maybe he was a dealer?

In Oct '85 (around the time the T492 and B43 were advertised) he bought a Chevron B24 F5000 and then crashed it on an airfield test..... (info from http://www.oldracingcars.com/chevron/b24/ "the piper car")

Driftwood has been intouch just;

He says Dennis was not a race car dealer, but thinks he had a Garage business.
He says Dennis raced F ford Libre at Lydden in the 80's.

I'll take a chance and call him tomorrow evening!
Let's hope he is still there.

Graham.
