BTCC's Tom Ingram to run at Harewood

Tom will be running his BTCC Toyota Avensis at Harewood during the British Championship round on Sunday 6th July.

PS: The Tour de France circus is in the area that weekend. Stage 1 is on the Saturday, from Leeds to Harrogate. Stage 2 is on the Sunday, from York to Sheffield.

Unlikely. There will be about 100 spectators there. Anyway, cheer up, mate.

still in two minds whether to marshall this, as I'm coming from 'tother side of the tour, roads are closed, meaning travel will be difficult at best

It could mean an inconvenient detour, like M62 right across to the A1, then north and west again.

What is the point of that remark. It's good for speed events to have someone from the BTCC taking part. It may bring in more spectators as well.

Well he made a good show, I did end up going in the end. certainly a different world from the guys with cars on a trailer towed from the garage at home! he had a couple of practice runs, but I think he broke something on his first timed run, and couldnt run again
