Remember unlike other some sports the the reported TV rights fee is highly inflated.

Not inflated, just not understood by the average person, the same as otehr sports.

Media just reports the headline data and not the bottom line data

I'm sure they took a lot of money out of it over the years so you have to look beyond the final selling cost.

It is very clear Here that Supercar is part of a portfolio of assets inside a particular Archer investment growth fund, that are offsetting any losses that may be incurred on this sale, presuming it goes ahead.

Yes, perhaps not understood is more like it.

Supercars have to supply the TV rights holders with X amount of hours of program content paid for by Supercars.

Either from the renewal of the contract with TEN or the first contract with Seven.

It is a little disingenuous on Supercars behalf.

A loss from Supercars being offset by the gain on the remainder of the portfolio does not make it a gain for Supercars. It is still a loss. Its just sugarcoating that Joe Deen and Uncle Gerry would be proud of.

To paraphrase the late Mr K.Packer " "You only get one Alan Bond (Archer Capital) in your lifetime, and I've had mine".

Cmon GTR.
Selling for less than they bought for says that they either overpaid or that it is worth less now.

No amount of powder covers that up.
