Exactly,they are the boys,all this rubbish about boiling them in oil,heating it then pouring cold water onto the nipples as you snap it off,rubbish.I hope we are talking about the same thing of have I gone off topic as usual.

Martin,I think everyone has given you the best advice,try the one you think will work best,never have had any success with penetrating oil on seized bleed nipples,heating the caliper and trying to cool the nipple with ice sometimes works,I think we all say good luck.

In our garage we use a product called freeze-off - it works esp on manifolds which can be really stubern it breaks down the rust and it contains no acids or grease its made by ttproducts in england http:www.ttproducts.com |

That stuff looks interesting, but it says on the web site that "We supply direct to the Automotive, Construction and industrial sectors". Any idea how ordinary people get a hold of it?

Wurth make a similar product call ross off ice. It is a combination of medical freeze spray and wd40 penetrating oil. I recently had a stuck choke piston in a weber 45 dcoe. Professional cleaning did not shift it. I heated the carby body infront of a small fan heater for 15 minutes and then used the ice-spray above, left it for two minutes and then used less force than was used before and presto it was out. Very recommended.

just got back from yesterdays F1, to get hold of TTproducts it is sold direct via van sales people but there will be one one in the london? area - suggest you e:mail ttproducts, if you do - also look at the TTP 90 its v good. cheers |
