With Hockenheim though, the only slow corner in the Stadium is Sachskurve. The rest of that section is deceptively fast.

By just reinstating the old run into Club, the line out of Club and down to Abbey will be pretty much unaffected. The main difference would be the speed caried into Abbey, but even that would not be as extreme as the deceleration into the Variente Goodyear at Monza, so it is quite doable.

but club as it is REALLY encourges over taking at abbey and the speed around club would acctuley increase (if it was how it was before especially with stowe as it is now. And with little run off as P said ....... but heres something just reading this autosport from a few years ago with the 2003 edit of silverstone and club on here was going to be banked maybe if we was to bank club maybe we could then make it more as it was before but move abbey slightly closer to club and moving Priory to where i have i think that could REALLY work, but club as it is is a great corner as i said club helps overtaking as it really bunchies the cars up just like turn 9 and 10 at bahrain or the snail at shanghai.

Edit: corner names muddled up

thats what i mean but i feel it ruins the complex TOO much but thats the general idea i think should go ahead also ive drawn abbey chicane really sloppy at it looks really sharp but i dont mean it to i rushed it to show everyone . infact id make brooklands more to where it was before but id try and keep luffield as i have there as you get a better run through woodcote. btw luke ive got to work on Zolder but im still not happy.

I'm still not in favor of moving Abbey closer to Club. That'll make Bridge too fast, so you wont see side-by-side racing through there anymore. It'll also hamper overtaking in Priory, given the increased speed.

Infact I was just thinking maybe we could use the infield section of Hockenheim, for the Complex.

nah that would be silly then it wouldnt be the complex it would be just the stadium pasted in ...... i think we need a fresh look at the complex using insperation from the old complex rather than just use the infield but i think if you was to use the stadium as inspiration then you might be onto something ......

I know what you mean about bunching the field at Club, but that really long run might permit slipstreaming on the approach to Abbey. Also, I'm rather wary of deliberately promoting the accordian effect after all the first lap pile-ups I've seen.

If it were my call, I'd reinstate the old straight between Stowe and Club. To keep the speeds in check, I'd leave the Abbey chicane, and I'd reinstate the straight from Abbey to Woodcote. I'm just not particularly fond of the complex to be honest.

Last time we tackled Silverstone I believe (pages 149-150)

My thoughts, both then and now

Chaynes321 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Guys, ... I really think we should put together each of our designs together or make a big joint effort to redesign silverstone...

It's clearly what is wanted there ....

We have some very talented track designers here why not use our ability and compile a proper project that could lead to reality...

If we stick to it and think of all the possilbe variables, and plan it properly...we could get somewhere

maybe we could assign ITDA members for particualr jobs within the projects, etc ...

Well anyway ... *puts faced-down hand in the middle of the crowd*
