i like the club combo you have done, but the current club makes of one of the best overtaking spots at silverstone.

I'll just say what my first thought was after I saw your versions Jam. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" And no, that version WOULDN'T be the proper Silverstone GP circuit.

Hey, and they thought Silverstone was fast in 1986? Monza is just as fast now!

Chaynes321 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

i for one really like that idea, i mean okay its not really doable the amount of run off needed for the long right hander after stowe. But i really like the new luffield he has came up with looks a bit multi-apex which corners i adore.

It wasn't my idea to put hockenheim and silverstone together , but i think it creates a good passing opportunity at the abbey chicane

I quite like that ricardo. Not sure it would really work in real life but hey, this is only a bit of fun

Certainly a lot fast now

Lustigson, in posts 84 and 86 it looks like you have comprehensively buggered up the National circuit! You've obviously never seen four FF1600s going into Brooklands side-by-side to realise how the little chicane arrangement would so spoil the lap, and indeed all the fun would be taken out of Becketts and Luffield too...

Nope, I haven't.

You see there's room for the current aproach to Brooklands to remain. I could put it back on my design, but it's too much work for now.

You've put a chicane in it (still looking at the nat circuit)

OK, you meant Maggots... But wouldn't the tighter right-left corner mean better overtaking at that point? Perhaps the current configuration provides enough of that, though, I'm not sure.

The great thing about Brooklands on the National circuit is that it is a high-speed blast into the corner then very hard onto the brakes... rather spectacular, and you would lose that on this layout. Becketts on the national circuit (which is what that chunk of the circuit is normally referred to in that configuration) is similar in some respects, and having a couple of changes of direction as opposed to one long, tight corner, with the exit speed as important as the entry, would spoil that.

Taking it too seriously? Almost certainly, but I don't see much point in redesigning a circuit and sucking all of the good bits out of it!

The problem is Lustig, in lower formulae slower corners generally mean more pile-ups

Here's my go at Silverstone. I have moved the main pits to the Hangar Straight and have ocmpletely redesigned the stadium section. This idea was partly based on the proposed changes a few years ago.

The Silverstone-discussion just does not die .

That's pretty nice, reminds me a bit of this proposal i made approx 1½ years ago.

What was going on with my old edit...

Your first seems pretty good, but your second seems pretty impossible, and a bit too long IMO.

Here's my (way better compared to my old one) edit.
