Kudos to the inside sources who tipped us off about this first. Suspect Howard will be horribly off the pace - but maybe he'll prove me wrong.

Wow that's got to be the most low key BTCC driver announcement ever. Hopefully Howard will gel a little more with the Subaru or he could be a real embarrassment this year.

Although all the other sites reporting this story are saying that they are still yet to announce who will line up as the fourth Subaru driver. Looks like BTCC Crazy have got their information wrong or have broken the news earlier than agreed. Wishful thinking, I know, but I hope they're wrong.

Well that will be interesting, expect him to get his arse handed to him on a plate in that.
Teaming up with Doran, whats next Doran in touring cars?

Was that the sound of an embargo being smashed? Not that it's a tremendously exciting one.

you are all missing the point, signing Howard is sheer genius cos he is perfectly believable for "tactical safety car"

wonder if Team Dynamics can use Simpson for this role

If Howard helps fund another car on the grid and those £££ add towards the entire BMR/888 operation, then it keeps the likes of Sutton in the field. No?

He spun out so many times in FWD, I can't imagine he'll be any better in RWD...

Though by the end of the year he had seemed to improve a little so hopefully he'll finish in the positives this year!

I've heard a few people say that Howard will be at BMR but not in a Levorg

On the forth BMR seat I've mused over a couple of scenarios:

1. It will be Mark Howard in a 'Works' Subaru.
2. It will be Mark Howard in a 'BMR' Subaru.
3. It will be Mark Howard in a Subaru prepared by BKR but run out of the BMR camp (To satisfy the new TBL rules as they effectively had no option to enter this year as themselves due to being on loaned TBLs last year which went elsewhere this year, also keeps Warren's TBLs intact should he want to change things up again in the future).
4. Ditto but in a Passat.
5. Someone else in a 'Works' Subaru, a big suprise for Media Day, a veteran Touring Car driver perhaps (since aside from a few liveries we don't have much to look forward to in terms of unknowns, perhaps in a freak turn of events Mat Jackson will actually give up his Motorbase seat on Media Day!).
6. Something really unexpected - The forth seat is used as the Toca Guest Driver Seat - car runs special BTCC/Dunlop livery and each round we get a famous driver (or a few celeb's to keep ITV4 happy).

Well it was reported that Howard owned his volkswagen, maybe Bmr to run it? Bkr effectively does not exist anymore.

I was under the impression Team HARD purchased the 4th CC off Howard as a spare, though I'll check the Touring car register website as my memory struggles at times!!

Still showing as being Mark Howards, but that could simply be because it's not been updated.

I still don't see Howard at BMR; that would require deep pockets and he definitely did not meet commitments to BKR.

Maybe there are other terms in the deal. There are ways of brokering deals without having to use 100% money

It's most likely because the deals are still being put into place, but certainly waiting to the end is generating a lot of discussion for Mark Howard!

I noticed that too but when zooming in wasn't so sure it was a CC! Sadly the picture starts to distort too much when you get closer. It's definitely not a Scooby tho . Mind you it could be the other side if the camera as I don't have intermate knowledge of BMR's workshop layout!

Number 3 will never happen, have a look through BKR's Twitter feed - they seemed seriously uninpressed by Howard!

Hopefully 5 or 6, I too have had the idea of a guest driver car but I can't see it happening

Must agree with other posters, I really can't see Howard having the budget for BMR. He must have been through at least 3 title sponsors last year, obviously weren't keen on seeing a car with their branding on constantly getting involved in accidents!

Still hoping for Abbott in that final seat...
