Sorry, that was my Hakkiman-esque reply.

Yeah, I think I am going this year, for the first time. What sort of stuff is there? Are there any displays for the club racer. Perhaps some Demon Tweaks stalls so we can get to see some of the goodies rather than just pictures in the brochure?

Do you lot go for more than one day, or is that enough? What about the action arena?

I went to it last January. I enjoyed it and had a great day out. Just bring plenty of money and a few credit cards and you'l be fine ! The live show was excellent

I usually go on trade day because the Saturday and Sunday are very crowded and I can talk to people with more ease.

The only complaints I have of the show, is after going for 10 years it has become a bit stale and the current increase of the max power type exhibits. boring!

Nothing wrong with 'max power type exhibits' I had a pass for 3 days (at max power) and when I got all my pictures back I found I didnt have a single car on them (boy racer cr@p. But I did have a few rolls of Jordan and Jo Guest
Bring on the Motor show in a few weeks (anyone going to that).

Autosport International is on 9th-12th Jan 2003 - www.autosport-international.com

As a trade show (which is what it is) it's ok, as a fun day day for petrolheads (which is what it pretends to be) forget it. Definately heading in the 'Max Power' direction with some of the stands. Didn't quite understand how poledancers were relevent on the Superbike stand (not that it's a problem you understand ) and no surprise to see the porno website stand was closed down once trade day was finished.

As for the Motorshow, think I'll pass. It's not exactly a cheap day out and unless you get off on seeing the latest repmobiles there's not that much interesting anyhow.

Autosport International is the best show to start the motorsport year off. I have been every year since 1997.

Nope... it's all pretty poor as entertainment goes. I'll probably head up for the day to see if there's anything ground breaking or exciting being announced or unveiled but I'd not get too excited about it to be honest. As a trade fair it's fine, as a day out it's, well, not...

They try to draw the public by doing their Action Arena thing but that is so stage managed it's really not worth the effort and I only went the once - never again! If you want entertainment, get yourself along to Donny in a couple of weekends time for the truck racing!

We will have our Family outing again in January , but not sure which day it will be. There will be me (the hansom one with camera in Hand)My daughter Melanie (The one with the withering stare at the end of the pitlane)And my Son-in-Law Neil(many times contributer to 10/10 and hater of speed guns). I will be interested to meet with anyone going on the same day as we are ---more information nearer the date.Last year was my first time with my digital camera I ended up taking 187 photos

Sunday is the best say to go, cos it's the final day so they always take a few quid of the rather expensive stuff.
Oh and there are loads of bars to get drunk in.

There's less and less free stuff every year.

Last year I only got one carrier bag of stickers and posters! And that was on press day - you'd think they'd be trying to suck up to us...

On the other hand, there are awfully cheap 1:18 models to be found.

AS show on the friday is a good place to bump in to interesting people, who offer you a drive in thier car! happens to me every year! Although the totty factor is superb and highly distracting. The Motor show is poo don't go I've already been last week very dull indeed. And hundreds of people trying to sell you credit cards!

Will there be a meet at Autosport again?

It was fun this year. It would be great to do it again.
