simonracer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
There's standing water on the insides of the corners now. Seriously some of the worst conditions I can recall in my 15 years of watching the category.

Bathurst 2013 was the last time there was 29 cars, in a single-driver round the last time was Homebush 2010.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
dont have the coverage at work, but the times are much quicker in this session and the rain seeems to have cleared.

Suspect the track will dry and slicks may be out soon

Should get Adrian Burgess out to check the grass, he had gardening leave from Roland, and is now pushing mowers at home,
so why not Winton ,

There seems to be an absurd amount of cars sneaking extra laps in after a session has ended this year.

As in they pass the chequered flag twice? They wouldn't get away with that.

Yes, and my point exactly.

Why has this become a thing this year? Are teams not effectively communicating with their drivers, or is there some 'gamesmanship' at play?

Doesn't make much sense for them to do it intentionally I wouldn't have thought and it's something easy caught on timing, so I would be surprised if fines/penalties aren't issued for it (apart from the red flag example above). Drivers would clearly see the red lights + the flag as well at the sessions end so i don't think it's them being unaware.

Penske look to be running a lot of preload on the front springs given how little the nose lifted compared to everyone around them at the start. Usually an aero decision which helps exit understeer. Ludo at work?

James Golding, first of the wild cards home in a very honourable 17th. Great job by him and GRM.

I'm a little surprised there wasn't an unsafe release issue for Coulthard given Bright had to slam on the brakes to avoid him.
